So say Spiderman makes a prediction XB1 will sell 500 mill by end of 2015 and it misses it, how do we address that in a new thread? Can we say "Spiderman's failed prediction!"

That's kinda calling out a single user... it'll honestly get you in trouble more often than not.

If you can, try to get as many predictions as you can (which goes hand in hand with our tradition of "Guess what _____ will sell!" threads). Then after a while, post a "______ Sales are Here! How did VGChartz do?!" and then link (or copy/paste the data) the old thread and bada bing, bada boom! Prediction shenanigans thread!

Stuff like this is destroying this site to me. It has became so politically correct that it has become boring. That is why I barely bother posting anymore all I can say is good things. The rules are anti-honesty. Gotcha

interesting, so no more requested permabans eh? People will just have to stop coming to the site on their own free will from now on!!!

Edit:  Also, what is the deal with necro bumping?  I never thought of it as a bad thing, and can often lead to more discussion... why create another thread to talk about another thread?  Seems like a silly rule.  If you are worried about necrobumping being a form of flaming/mocking, then make a rule along those lines.  Don't necrobump a thread to mock it.  However, there are more reasons for necrobumping than that and I don't think it should be against the rules...

Ummmmm... read carefully you can ask for bans.

  • For any reason, a user may ask a moderator to ban them for a specific period of time. This ban will not stack against you if you are moderated for rule-breaking in the future. If you would like to return to the website before the deadline, contact a mod by way of an alternate account (See Rule 18). With all that said, we will not grant you a permanent ban.

I bolded what I was referencing for you!

Oh , so now if you want a permaban you have to post porn. okay, seems like the best new permaban option!

I need to go, as I've spent too long on this site and neglecting school work. But hopefully Axum or Truck (or anyone else) can address the questions.

@RollTide

Sorry for destroying the site.

You're right! Everybody wins!

No necrobumping? At all? aww..

Moderating necrobumps doesnt make sense. Its a part of the identity of forums. When you write something its always there to be revisited.

There is some minor improvements however. Not convinced yet, but ill wait to see if VGC changes in the coming months with this.

I likk big boobs and round ass. So you know when you permaban yourself you will  leave me with  a great climax and a smile on my face.

We're discussing adapting the rule on necro-bumping... stay tuned!

Signature goes here!

Wait so you can't necrobump your prediction threads? That's the worst rule ever.

My Wii U under 40m LT prediction and PSV under 20m LT prediction need to be necrobumped! (bare in mind I made them when the general concensus was 80m+ for Wii U and 50m+ for PSV)

We're talking about the Necrobump rule. If it does change, it will go from a more black/white ruleset to a grey one determined by the moderators.

Rest assured we only wanted the best for the site when making the rules. But we are willing to change that issue if it helps the community.
