Did you hear about redigitize fan-translation ending soon ?

Nice, too bad I have little chance of playing it. Maybe an emulator. Odd that they didn't release it outside of Japan. Almost 60k signed the petition to release it.

Then they release Digimon All star rumble, which I assume did not do so well. Should have just done Redigitize.

When they started they only wanted to launch it in japan, and even if they had changed their mind after petitions and stuff, the code is too bad for anyone willing to translate. It would take 2-3 times more time than translating a game coded by regular, non-Bamco monkeys.

Back in the old days, SNES era hehe, I really hated Aero the Acrobat 1, but the sequel I remember that I did really like it, way better than the first one.

If I don't like the first game I play in a series then I won't touch that series again. Fable is an example of that. Sometimes, if the problems from the first game persist throughout the series eventually I'll get turned off from the series. AC and COD are series I won't touch because of that.

That's a shame, because personally Fable 2 is one of my favourite games ever, and it's superior to the original in all areas minus in difficulty.

I've done the opposite. I loved Legend of Zelda and hated The Adventure of Link (when it first came out). It was such a departure from the first game it left a bad taste in my mouth. That said I started playing it again last year and actually enjoyed it.

I suppose I could conform to the question though and say I hated Adventure of Link but loved A Link to the Past.

I was going to say the exact same thing! :)

Liked Zelda 1, really disliked Zelda 2, and then I loved Zelda 3. But same as you, I played Zelda 2 (Adventure of Link) again a few years ago and it did feel okay. Crazy difficult and absolutely not my favourite of the bunch but it was okay.

Now I actually feel encouraged to play it again. :P

im going to assume I will feel this way about Destiny 2. not that hate the first but I think the 2nd will be dope

I love Fable 2 :)

It's one of those rare games that's stuck with me long after the fact. It's also one of the rare games that inspired me the buy DLC, which turned out to be some of the best DLC I've played.

@OP: there are some instances where I've enjoyed a sequel to a bad game. Street Fighter and Street Fighter II immediately come to mind. But mostly, I experience the opposite effect. I enjoyed Red Faction, but not Red Faction II. I enjoyed Assassin's Creed, but not Assassin's Creed II. I enjoyed Killzone, but not Killzone 2. I enjoyed The Conduit, but not Conduit 2. I enjoyed Halo 3, but not Halo 4. And so on.

I gotta say, bordelands. One was absolutely abysmal and repetitive
Borderlands 2 however is frikkn awesome. Can't wait to play he new one that came out recently.

Assassins Creed 2 is probably the most accomplished sequel of all time.

I also enjoyed Borderlands 2, Uncharted 2 and Resistance 2 a lot more than the predecessors. .

I liked Final Fantasy XIV. XIII... not so much.

Same goes for Zelda II. Not a big fan of that game, while A Link to the Past is one of my all-time favorites!

I just didn't that game's sense of humor. I'm more of a serious person that likes sarcasm or sadistic types of humor. From what I understand, that style is a trademark of that series. I also didn't like how short it was. I can understand why some people really like the series but it's not for me.
