I was talking with my co-workers, actually my boss and co-workers the other day, and they (3) all own a Wii. They seem to think it's gimmick and for them it sits around and collects dusts. Sadly I have been finding more and more people who think this. A common thread I have found is that the only real games they own are SMG and maybe RE4. I tried to tell these people about other games but we'll see how it goes?

Have any of you been experiencing things like this.

alll my friends own a 360 (i own a ps3) and they say they wouldn't buy the wii because it has last gen graphics and the online isn't good.

95% of the people in my school love the PS3 , PSP and the 360 and hate the Wii and DS.

I have never heard of a single friend or anyone around me whose Wii collects dust. Everyone I talk to that has one is so excited about the games coming out for it.

If there is a theme around the Wii that doesn't involve waiting for SSBB/MKWii or about how amazing Galaxy was....it is the sure fit that the Wii has at parties with lots of drunk people.

The Wii is popular and it offers some interesting titles: Super Mario Galaxy, Supre Prime Metroid 3, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. But does it hold up as a "true" next generation console? We will see what happens.

most of my friends owns PS360, but one girl owns a Wii (between her and her brother), but all they play is Guitar Hero 3 and SSBM. *shrugs*

I say yes to that question Rock_on_2008! As it will be the console with all of the games that I will enjoy.

Yeah I told them to pick up Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. Hopefully they will. I think part of the problem is they don't want to spend time looking through shovelware and casualware to find games.

I work for Syracuse Research Corp. and I can tell you of the people that have a Wii, they absolutely love it. I would say we are roughly split (for those that own a system) 60% wii, 30% XBox360, 10% PS3. Although, I used to run a company game night were we would play PC games, so we are big into PC games too. So as a note, a group of people who are pretty big into cutting edge technology favor the Wii.

I found out about Wal-mart's SSBB brawl mistake from someone at work, and I've had multiple people ask me how to find a system. So no, people at my work definitely are in love with the Wii.

Everyone I know likes the wii. Some also like 360 and PS3 and PS2. The only people I know who don't like it either don't like video games at all, or only like PC games.
