Forums - Nintendo - Xenoblade Chronicles is a Game-Changer for Nintendo

Is Nintendo actually going to even market this game in the West? I doubt it.

They should, it wasn't that bad in the West. Actually they advertised it with directs, E3-showing and Shulks inclusion in Smash. I'm pretty confident it will make it's way to the west and handled better than last time. At least it will make it's way to europe and that is all that matters to me.

I honestly would be surprised if Xenoblade X on the Wii U hits even 1 million WW in sales.

The original didn't hit that on the much larger Wii userbase and games like DKC and Pikmin 3 (much better known franchises) are having problems getting to the 1 million LTD on the Wii U.

Monolith Soft is also a second party developer for Nintendo, who owns 97% of the company, meaning that Nintendo should be developing the talent rather than wasting them on co-development.

Stop using this word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

The first game sold the most in the US.

I hope they do. If Pavolink is correct, Wii U owners and potential ones want big first party games like Mario Kart 8, Metroid Prime 4, Super Mario 64-Galaxy, and Zelda U. Not 2D Donkey Kong and 3D World. So hopefully Nintendo see this and markets the hell out of this game. And eshop sales will definitely boost this game's sales because people wouldn't have to worry about over priced used copies due to limited copies.

And if there's a bundle with the Xenoblade chronicles with HD visuals, this game will sell a lot more than Xeno on Wii. It might even sell a lot even if the bundle isn't the $59.99 price or lower.

Man I hope that bundle would be a $90-$100 instead of $110-$120 if you bought them separately.

Considering how well the first did in the US as a Gamestop exclusive, yes, it'll do fine.

I see people are still getting Monolith Soft's 1st party status wrong lol

Xenoblade Chronicles X can do well though I think, as long as Nintendo gives the game decent advertising.
