The original didn't hit that on the much larger Wii userbase and games like DKC and Pikmin 3 (much better known franchises) are having problems getting to the 1 million LTD on the Wii U.


The original was ~400k limited printings and GameStop exclusive. How does one reach a million with less than a million limited printings? The game ran out of stock in the EU and NA.

I will be getting XenoChronicles on New N3DS XL first.

I consider it essentially Nintendo's answer to Final Fantasy.........with a much bigger world

As you should be, as everyone should be, since the only JRPGs selling in the millions are Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, Mario RPGs... uh, decades-old franchises with massive fanbases. And the occasional Demon's Souls-type hit.

I'll put it this way, no Persona or SMT game has ever sold 1 million globally. Only three Tales Of games have hit a million. And those are long-running, well-known franchises. Lesser-known games like Ys, PSO? Forget about it.

1 million would be outlandishly great for Xenoblade.

I am looking forward to this game. I hope this game does really well to inspire more RPGs that will turn out amazing. I really want to see more RPG's on Nintendo systems.

This game looks like a decent RPG. It doesn't look bad, and it doesn't look great either.

Maybe Nintendo doesn’t need Mario. Maybe what Nintendo needs is a JRPG for the ages. Maybe Nintendo needs Xenoblade Chronicles.

They have if you include remakes/ports...

Xenoblade Chronicles X is releasing on one console and has no remakes or ports announced.

Ever played the first Xenoblade? 
If no: You can't understand.
if yes: Can you explain why? The first was Awesome, this one will be the same, well, probably.
