LOL. I don't understand how anyone could have thought that they weren't a selling point. Maybe in comparison to the PS4 they aren't, but in regards to the Wii U they definitely are.

To be fair, X1 had a big price cut and had free games(including Halo MCC in uk), so we cant know for sure if Destiny was really a big selling point, but sure it helped

You dont compare to the bottom scraps, you comapre to the market leader.

It wasn't a price cut. The $399 console is missing something.

Destiny coincided with a massive sales boost. I doubt that is a coincidence. And yeah, bundling a game like Destiny free helped.

Unless it was the 7th gen. That's when PS3 owners were only concerned about 360 and not Wii.

Or look at Vita. That thing is getting lost in obscurity, even half of the market leader would be amazing for that platform.
