I was waiting for this week
Of course not and destiny does not change this fact. That is one game that still sold a larger margin on the PS4. They do not have the exclusive IP to sell their console like the PS3 and 64/Wii did.

lol wtf does that have to do with PS4, lol fanboy mentality bring shit up that has nothing to do with the topic at hand cosue you lack any sort of intelligent argument. I wish sony killed the vita, its got some intresting games i want on PS4. |
I'm giving you an example of when people ignored the market leader. That went on for basically an entire generation.
Good news for you, Sony has essentially killed the Vita. But not because they wanted to, they had to.

The 2014 numbers in isolation are stunning.

Just reality right, X1 is doing very bad yet to manylie to them selves its doing good or ill magically recover to greatness.
Even before Destiny came out, I found the OP to be a bit hyperbolic. It's silly to say that 3rd parties are totally not a selling point for the X1. They still are, but obviously, not to the extent for the PS4. Also, it depends on the genre. Action, shooters, and sports games move the X1 a lot better than JPRGs, platformers, and puzzle games, for instance. That's mainly because the X1 userbase doesn't cover as wide of a variety of genres as the PS4 userbase.

If they're going to take second place from Nintendo, it will have to be on the backs of its first party exclusive titles, and I just don't see that happening. |
The timing of this article is appropriate because looking at the Sept 13 US hardware sales gives evidence to the exact opposite of what this article says - the XB1 just sold over 4 times more Hardware WW than the Wii u based on the release of a 3rd party game that was primarily marketed by the PS4 and Madden 15 another 3rd party game. Over the last 2 or 3 weeks the XB1 has not only made up the difference it had lost to the Wii u over the previous 2or 3 months but surpased it- The XB1 has sold aprox 800k more hardware year to date than the Wii u

Not necessarily, we have to wait and see what impact the holidays have.
For example, this is how 360 sales looked through the months. http://www.vgchartz.com/tools/hw_yoy.php?reg=Global&start_year=2011&end_year=2014&console=X360
PROTIP: Look how November and December differ from January - October.
