For a sim? Sure it will be playable, but it will be pretty bad. Not that I think it matters much as I imagine not many people will buy this on Wii U, getting delayed cements the fact that only Wii U purists may buy that.
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!

Well, if you are really into sims, 60fps is kinda important but I don't really know yet how much of a sim this game is. You can obviously play the game in 30fps but for people who try to squeeze every tenth of a second out of a lap it's not really great.
But that doesn't mean that most will be fine with 30fp on Wii U especially since most who play games like GT with wheel because of the realism and not just for fun own probably other systems.
It's actually pretty decent for a high-end visual title. It would be nice to see some other publishers port their PS4/One only titles to Wii U with downgraded specs. It's a myth it can't be done. You just reduce the rez/frame rate.

That's how it would look if your tv was the size of the gamepad, it would not look anything like that if a 480p image was stretched over a 46" tv, no matter how good the scaling.
Assuming this piece of information is correct, 720p/30fps is actually not THAT bad considering this is the WiiU we are talking about!

It obviously needs AA. When I play Wii games in 480p with AA they look extremely good, not compared to HD but compared to normal 480p without AA.
Still funny that the WiiU version which was in the initial kickstarter gets delayed and the versions that were not even planned at the beginning get released earlier xD

There are some key difference you should be aware of.
That image was never rendered at 480p to begin with. It was rendered at a higher resolution, and scaled down, which buys it free anti-aliasing.
Your TV also does not upscale every frame with bicubic smoothing, which is most likely what your image software used.
An image rendered in 480p on a Wii U and upscaled real-time to 720p or 1080p would never look that nice.

One could argue that the human eye starts perceiving motion at 24fps and regardless of whether the game is at 60fps or 30fps you can get the same times and if this is the true sim we want. Whether the game runs at 30, 60, or 120fps it will be the same experience.
Dx11 but 30 fps? They should have went for dx10 but 60 fps or heck even direct x 9 but 60 fps... No thanks... For racing games, I want that 60
