Its the perfect counter to his argument, when you consider that Square Enix have been releasing Final Fantasy games now for over 25 Years. I mean, look at his OP again -
"I played Mario games since I was 8 years old. Fast forward 20 years later, they're still making Mario games."
And yeah a whole lot of Final Fantasy, especially in recent Years, can be considered mediocre.
Granted I could find numerous other things to pick at. I just think the whole hating on Nintendo for releasing successful games over and over again thing is funny, when at the same time the guy quite clearly loves Final Fantasy.

If Nintendo is going to make a new RPG game, then I hope they leave Mario out of it. Anything with Mario or Zelda is a turn off.
What Nintendo needs to do is make more new fresh games like Xenoblade Chronicles X. Now this game.. This is a game I want. discuss.. |
I like them that is all that really matters. Now good back to COD because that's new everytime.

They have plenty to offer a man over 20, people like different things you know and just because you feel you're too mature for it doesn't mean you speak for everybody. People buy consoles to play the games "THEY" want to play which suprisingly might not include third party games. If a console has games that you like, then you buy it and this doesnt mean the other consoles are pointless.

I feel Sony needs to make new IPs at a steadier rate than Nintendo because when they do make one, they push it hard. A lot of their new IPs receive trilogys or more within the span of a generation and when the sales start sliding down due to burnout they have to make a new one to push. However when Nintendo gets a new IP they unfortunately don't push it hard enough or even at all (see Disaster/another code/pandoras tower/xenoblade/Last story). This often leads to rather low sales and they then get overlooked in arguments such as these because they only received a single entry that didn't light the charts on fire.

Wow Carl, that is pretty weak. Look, there is many Final Fantasy games, but you don't see Cloud, or Terra for example in every Final Fantasy title, you understand? Anyways, I thought everyone knew that I don't like the FF13 series.
