Ok, first off I know it's just one retailer but Amazon's best sellers is probably the best tool from the biggest online retailer that is reliable and available to the public. It should be a great indicator of sales that is regularly updated.
Now I read that GameStop (think is was GameStop anyway) reported that the the $399 X1's where flying off the selves so I took to Amazon just to see how that matches up with its reports.
Right now the consoles are ranked;
X1 Titanfall package - 56th
$399 UnKinected X1 - 43rd
PS4 with Desting - 4th
PS4 - 7th
If sales reflect the Amazon rankings then MS surely must be panicking right now. They just came off the back of a great E3 showing and released a console that competes with the PS4 on price and yet Amazon shows that they have not made much progress to denting PS4's momentum. What can MS do next?
The even more worrying thing is what is currently outselling the $399 X1 on Amazon. PS TV sit at 11th, $80 PS headset at 30th and PS TV bundle at 40th.
Considering the USA is MS's strongest region, the figures will only look worse for them in other regions. Should we be worried? Will the $399 sales pick up?
