Kinect having no contoller at all really hurt it. Every game is essentially a character standing in one spot mimicking the player's movements. With Wii and Move you can actually use the controls in other ways. I don't see a genre outside of FPS (and the minigames made for Kinect) that Kinect would be a sufficient form of control.

It's because MS and MS fans alike only care about the US. Look at all the NPD threads and all you'll find are people saying that the only place that matters in terms of sales is the US. PS4 beats or is close to X1 in US means MS is losing the war. Therefore they made this move with noise from the US crowd in mind.

Removing the Kinect from the Xone is arguably the best thing MS did since the reveal of the Xone... what a terrible, terrible rant :|

Innovation needs to be accepted, not forced. They tried to force it and saw how consumers reacted. And you dont need Kinect for voice commands... the PS4 has it with just a microphone. Kinect is good for motion controls and a camera, but if you dont use or enjoy those, it's worthless and pointless and forcing ppl to use it is not the way to market it.

Personal preferences. Some prefer XOne games, features, services, controller.. you name it.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned. Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon! |
