Lets be honest, id use kinect to voice navigate the marketplace, command my media, and video chat with buddies, but not play games.
It is a convenience device for the ultra modern lifestyle. Nothing more.

sorry for your loss.just another casualty of teh console warz
need to get sales up for the hardcore fans on teh internet

I smell like the dark forest of Dwemereth in the morning mist
fanboy til i'm bankrupt
It is disappointing to see that MS gave up their concept where kinect is an integral part of the Xbox one to attract the wider audience and get more $. Its fair and logical thing to do and its good to provide an alternative for its customers. With my experience with kinect 2.0.. i see it better as side accessory to the controller rather then a device that replaces the controller. If MS focusses on that ,, kinect will do well. Works brilliantly in games Fifa and NFS to name a few.

Need to get sales up for the shareholders and to increase profits.
I'm sorry you feel this way, I think it's a good move. Kinect sucks, aswell as all the other casual add-ons out there. As far as I'm concerned this is a great move, I would rather a cheaper console then having kinect forced down my throat.
Its a shame the kinect HW will never be utilized to its full potential, but in terms of interface, I am glad I have it. Kinect voice commands are brilliants and work incredibly well.
The kinect controls on the other hand are shit. Kinect enhancements are pretty cool as well, if a little gimmicky, like shaking a zombie off in DR3, but the cockpit turning in BF4 is fantastic.

Yeah ive suggested in other threads they should bring out a $20 kinect mic, without the camera, voice commands without the expensive camera gimmick.

I meant the general attitude towards Morpheus, not that every Sony fan has interest in it.

Yea, from one of Microsoft tweets. Look it up. Even people that didn't like the idea, once they had it, found it really useful. Sorry if you don't want to belive it, but a fact is a fact. |
Just because Microsoft tweetet about it doesnt mean its necessarily a fakt. Maybe they counted how many Kinects were plugged in or if the Kinect had atleast one activity a day. People use it to start their Xbox/deactivate it and Bam we have our 80%. Could be PR could be unrealistcally interpreted numbers or a bold faced lie. Maybe 80% of a sample group of 100 MS Employees or something. I dont know anybody who likes Kinect not a single person.... Its good they removed it because the technology is not good enough for gaming imo.
I for once do certainly believe it's the impeding factor for the console's deserved sales.
