Kinect is a camera or webcam with a name. There is nothing innovative about it. It didn't spark a revolution in the way we played games. It didn't spawn hundreds of imitation Kinects. It just was. Why did Microsoft make the Kinect in the first place? To capitalize on that motion control craze that Nintendo created. And in that regard, the Wii was actually innovative. Motion controls from Sony and Microsoft were a direct result of the gaming market that Nintendo tapped into and built up. The Kinect was a byproduct of Nintendo's motion control technology and it has been rejected by the market. The Kinect did not leave a meaningful impact and thus is not an innovation.

Sony innovated where that is concerned. Microsoft just purchased the a more powerful version of the same product half a decade later and capitalized on the hype.
Sony created a TV that two people can play games on with 3D glasses and still has recieved little to no praise when the thing works like a glove. They live to Innovate no different than Nintendo.
Microsoft takes other peoples left overs. Thats all they do.

Sometimes I really wonder if you even believe the stuff you type. But there are peopl that would say: 'The Good King Geofrey Baratheon the finest man to ever walk the Gods geen Earth."
There was hype for the PlayStation Eye? Really? Like where?
The TV thing where two people can play was a cool idea, but they came out with an expensive small 720p TV. It was a nice idea, but too late and not good enough quality. Course, they were ripping off coop play from the old Pong, but I'd let it slide.
Look at how Bill Gates was pushing 'The Slate' computer years and years before the ipad. I think you have it wrong. Microsoft creates a whole bunch of innovation. Then sometimes, they just walk away from it.
