half those games you listed arent 3rd party and if the Wii U continues to sell the way it is, it might not even get those.
Is this the last year we see core support from third parties | |||
| Yes | 224 | 68.71% | |
| No | 100 | 30.67% | |

Of course. If I was in charge of a major third party publisher I wouldn't put developers to work on major games for Wii U. Not unless Nintendo was willing to cover the ri$k.

Why not? These are collaborations with Nintendo (aka funded by nintendo) - you don't make any sense

then that wouldnt make them 3rd party would it? It would make them 2nd party, especially since some of them are Ninty's own IPs
No one can bring up CoD: Ghosts, ACIV, Arkham Origins, etc. and then say WiiU 3rd party support is "slowing down". WiiU was getting games on current (at the time) hardware. It's not gonna get games mainly developed for PS4/XBone. If Arkham Knight was on PS3/360, there'd probably be a WiiU version, however

Dude, you should really calm down a bit. You've been riding the Nintendoom train pretty hard lately, don't you think?
It's fairly obvious what he meant, was that ALL the games he listed were collaborations with third party studios. Lego City was made by TT, SMT x FE is a co-development between Intelligent Systems and Atlus. And Hyrule Warriors is being developed pretty much entirely by the regular Dynasty Warriors team. And yes, SMT x FE and Hyrule Warriors are going to come out, there's no reason for them not to. Wii U is not in quite the dire straights that some of you seem to want to believe. Things aren't great, but they're not "Well guys, it's time to just flat out drop the fuckin' system" bad either.
Things WILL improve when Mario Kart and later Smash Bros. come out. That isn't a question. The only question is just how much of an impact they will have.

Also, I'd just like to say that I think it's kinda humorous people talking about Wii U as if it isn't "8th gen". I thought it was clarified a long time ago that raw system stats do not determine what generation a piece of hardware is part of. And beyond that point, Wii U is still pretty powerful in it's own right. No one is debating that PS4 has stronger hardware. But if PS360 games could be downported to Wii, then there really isn't all that much room to claim Wii U couldn't do scaled versionsof PS4/Xbone games.

All those are published by Nintendo, they are as much 3rd party titles as Quantum Break or The Order: 1886 are.

I love how people who probably have never programmed anything in their life just throw stuff like this around, like it's as easy as eating cake or something. Having only 1/6th of the usable RAM isn't a big deal now? Having one chip that maybe can generate 300-400 GFLOPS versus a target platform that clocks in at 1.8TFLOPS is no big deal? I'm sure Nintendo could port Super Mario 3D World to the 3DS, it's not a big deal to port it from the Wii U right? It has a "relatively" modern GPU too. |
Fact is a 350-GFLOPS modern gpu part would be able to trounce the 360, running 360 games easily at much higher resolutions with out much optimiazation on PC. Seeing Wii U struggle with most ports suggests it's not even close to that number, yet nintendo fanboys are still in denail and think a 180-240 glops GPU can run ps4/X1 games.

and youve been on the WIi U defense. I said nothing inaccurate half those games are Ninty published, so that means they are NOT 3rd party games. I didnt know you could speak for others. If he meant 3rd party callobs he should have said so.
What are these PS360 games that were downported to Wii? Name them. Cause i sure dont see GTA4/5 any AC games etc on the system
Is anyone surprised by this?? Nintendo fans don't support 3rd party games, so why the fuck should 3rd parties bugger with Nintendo? It's a sad fact, but a fact nonetheless.
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
