About Wii Fit U: As I have previously stated, Wii Fit U is a VERY different beast than Wii Fit and everybody (especially Nintendo) knows it. First off, Wii Fit U was heavily pushed as a digital game with free trials and such. The physical part of the package is the Wii Fit meter which to my knowledge, is not tracked. What is tracked is the retail game which you have essentially no reason to buy and Nintendo doesn't want you to buy. Nintendo has from the start, wanted you to buy the Wii Fit Meter.
While it is obvious this game will not sell like the original, we will never know the sales unless Nintendo releases their data on how many Wii Fit Meters they have sold. Until then, we have next to nothing.
Finally, a point I made previously is that Nintendo knows certain games don't tend to have continued success as franchises. Look at Brain Training as well as Wii Fit U. Neither of these games were advertised despite both of their predecessors selling loads. This is because Nintendo knows that the marketing budget will not be returned like it was previously.
These games were not created to sell millions, they were created to fill a gap, please a small market and make a little bit of money.
