The gamepad screen has better colors than my Sony Bravia tv, so I often prefer playing on it.

Time to buy a new TV, seriously! The poor quality of the screen in the Gamepad is one of the biggest disappointments for me with Wii U.

It is a Sony Bravia though. I'm not the most tech savvy in the world, but my brother probably is in the top three, and agreed that the tv had sort of a worse color selection in comparison to the gamepad, the tv was darker, and the colors didn't look quite as nice when they were darker. The picture is more detailed though. I've tried tampering with light settings and color settings, but the tv still can't produce the same clear colors that the gamepad does.

Did you ever have your TV calibrated? (They're not great out of the box). You'd be amazed how much better a properly calibrated TV looks than how they generally look out of the box.

Wii U controllerss and hand held consoles don't have calibration options an so are actually correctly calibrated when you first turn them on.

And people wonder why it rarely recieves third party games

% of WiiU consoles compared to  360 and PS3 and Pc, no offline coop, no HD texture pack, shitty framerate, where I live the WiiU version costs 10bucks more.

There you have your reason.

Plus alot of people have 2 or 3 consoles why would be buy the inferior WiiU version no matter if it has cool gamepad features or not?   sub 20FPS is not playable. I also threw away my Castlevania for 360 becaue it had 14 FPS  rofl....

@bolded  Gamers don't wonder why Nintendo does not get third party games (devs wonder, gamers know)  we know it has to do with being to stupid to make games. e.g run at constant 30 FPS and have actual value.

LOL, I played trough the Wii U version and I didn't have any fps problems at all.

BTT: I love Blacklist. I missed the feeling of the old Splinter Cells. Amazing game. Too bad....

Well then you (if you are a fan) and Ubisoft can thank sites like  eurogamer/digital foundry  for showing footage of the game falling below 20fps or so   They mention the game looks good on WiiU but has huge FPS problems.

Every drop below 30 is an insult to gamers.
Start watching after 2:00  it even gets as low as 18fps or so at around 3:20

I've not played the game the whole way through but the only place where the fps drops have been noticable to me is in cutscenes and on the Palladin.  I'd prefer they weren't there but it doesn't change the gameplay.

The other thing with the Digital Foundry (i think) comparison is that it said the WiiU had the lowest average framerate while failing to adequately account for the fact that the game has V-sync. i.e. it's average was lower (in part) because it CAN'T run more than 30fps. Both the PS3 and 360 at times run more than 30fps bringing their averages up. In the end, if i recall correctly we are talking a difference of about 2fps.  I think the whole thing has been overstated.

Yes, this holiday season is very important for the Wii U, but I don't see it as changing the third party situation, no matter how it goes. I'll look at it more as an indicator for how likely it is to avoid the worst. That is, continuing to sell worse than the GameCube and being taken off of retailer shelves.

Meh. If CoD, AC and WD sell well enough to build fanbases, then support may continue. It wont be Sony/MS levels of support, but it will be support.

I think the Nintendo software between now and Q2 2014 is going to be what determines what the "worst" will be. Theyre kinda blowing the load between now and Summer 2014 with Wii Party U, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Wind Waker HD, Mario 3D World, Wii Fit U, Mario Kart and Smash Bros. For what its worth, I think a lineup like that is better than any console lineup we have seen in Years. If it doesnt pull Wii U out of the doodoo, then nothing will.

Wouldnt count on COD, the whole series has peaked already, AC honestly I feel the same. I dont think 4 will do as well as 3. Watchdogs is a wild card. But i havent seen high preorder numbers for any of those games on WIi U

they were wrong because they were hating. Im right because Blops 2 sold less than MW3, that is a decline, no two ways about it. Now Ghosts could sell better than Blops 2 but the preorders are lower so i doubt it.
