Forums - Sales - Splinter Cell: Blacklist sales on Wii U account for less than 2% of total sales

And people wonder why it rarely recieves third party games

3.6/(78.4 + 79.1 +3.6) * 100 = (I don't have a calculator handy but that looks like about 2%)

Game was kinda a bomb everywhere, but that sales share is pretty low. It was clearly a very high budget project yet had very little impact at all. I mean 4 years in development led by the new studio Ubisoft Toronto (300 developers also working on new Rainbow 6 game) with Montreal, Shanghai (Wii U port), and Red Storm. Budget must have been pushing $50m without marketing.

Between this and the troubled Rainbow 6: Patriots Jade Raymond must be feeling the pressure, she will probably be put back on the Assassin's Creed production line at this rate.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

After the lack of advertisement for the Wii U version (you wouldn't know it even exsisted), the fact some stores aren't stocking it and the fact that the Wii U version has a lower install base as well as missing features...

...Im looking for the "surprised" here.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Most shops in germany don't even sell the Wii U version. When I got my preorder from gamestop they gave me a steelbook with it that included a code for a free upgrade to the upper echelon edition. Needless to say that it didn't work with the Wii U version. They scrapped local multiplayer, the loading times are retarded, half of the implemented motion controls don't work at all...

Long story short, nearly no one even knows about the existence of this port and the few that do are put off by the shitty token port that Ubisoft delivered.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Those are some horrible sales. But I have to side with Conegamer. I have yet to find a Wii U on any storeshelves.

When I think of it, I've actually never heard about anyone talking about this game. Not sure how long this franchise will continue with the budgets in the next gen.

I'm hoping more people are going to buy AC BF on Wii U though. I loved having AC3 on my gamepad, so it's a must buy for me.

Because showing Wii U in the last half second of a commercial is going to give people insight on what games are available. And obviously a large majority of gamers are going to know what games have less features, because everyone is like us and looks up video game news regularly.

Nintendo fans rarelyt buy third party unless it's exclusive. No need to throw every excuse in the book out there when this is the only one that fits.

that's not how it works when you compare consoles with a small userbase to those with a big userbase. otherwise a game like pikmin 3 would have sold already like 10 million units worldwide in only one month if wii u would be in the eigths years with a userbase of 80 million...

Rayman Legends sold most on Wii U despite its 200/300% smaller user base. What now?

I just got it for 20 bucks on PC... using from an nvidia voucher I bought through ebay though.

Splinter Cell Conviction did 486 K this did 294... Digital Distribution has grown, maybe it isn't a complete bomba and just underperformed?

That said, decent ports need to sell on Nintendo Systems if they're ever going to get better 3rd party support fair or not particularly if it takes extra work. The PS3 had awful ports for a while and they still sold.
