Games line up looks good at first sight, but I think games are to close to each other in genres, many platformers, sure people who like platformers have no other choice but to get Wii U at some point but how many are there? W101 is totally niche, Wind Waker HD I don't know, I wouldn't buy a console for a HD reedition, but Nintendo fans seem to like playing the same games again. And I can't see Wii Fit U doing much just like you.

Not sure where you're heading with this? HD remakes are far more frequent on PS360 than on Nintendo systems so I wouldn't say Nintendo fans are more inclined to replay the same games again.

I just can't believe Nintendo are letting a second Christmas pass-by without Smash, Kart, WiiUfit or (non-remake) Zelda. I thought Sony was mad when they did it with Gran Turismo, but Nintendo are doing it with nearly every system-selling franchise they have.

So to answer the question I think sales will be poor this holiday, but closer to fair or perhaps even good next holiday when nintendo has finally released it's big hitters.

Wii Fit U is scheduled for december

That's good then. I think they should have aimed for late October though, December is cutting it really fine.

But they don't sell systems. He's saying that it'll push hardware and its sales will be much higher than most HD remakes. I think it has more to do with the franchise, as I think FFX will also do very well.

3D World should do well enough in Japan, even if nothing else does.

America should be stronger, as Donkey Kong country and Sonic should both be fairly well-received

Japan should be fine, however, I can understand concerns over Europe. Doesn't seem to be taking to the Wii U at all.

But, I think Wind Waker will do better than you think. After all, look at how OoT did for the 3DS.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

The Wii U has the holidays exclusively to themselves in Japan this year, and now it'll actually have games. They'll do fine there. I don't know about Europe, but it's got a growing library of games and is still the cheapest system, especially with retailers cutting the price themselves over there. So it could do alright there too.

There's too many platformers this holiday too on Wii U, sales will probably cannibalize each other. Needs far more variety in their exclusives.

With NSMBU already the main title for the system, you have Mario 3D World and DKC too ... I think Sonic and Rayman are going to get slaughtered.

My prediction:

September:
EU: 30k
Japan: 50k
October:
EU: 80k
Japan: 100k
November:
EU: 260k
Japan: 180k
December:
EU: 500k
Japan: 430k

What are u expecting it to do in America

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

WiiU will have Japan all to itself this holiday and Europe always had a thing for Sonic for some reason, plus i'm sure families will prioritize Nintendo consoles this holiday.

Knowing that, I expect Nintendo to ship 7mill worldwide by december, and it will completely sell out.

Prediction January 1 2014:

WiiU: 7 mill (I dont think its smart to underestimate Nintendo during fall holiday season)
PS4: 2,5 mill (I doubt they'll be able to ship more than that)
Xbone: 1 mill (I feel MS have had huge production issues with XBone)
