How did you do a review if the game does not come out for a few more days? Just curious

There is a world outside the US. ;)

Really? What if the US IS the world and we are just a bunch of AI in a simulation of human life, able to communicate with our creators (which can use avatars for more direct conversation) through the internet? Can you disprove this theory?

Blasphemous lies, we are made in the image of the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

Well, I can finally start it today, and this sounds pretty good for my first game. Can't wait!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Do we really need 2 player co-op?

I mean, it would be a nice addition, but I really don't see myself playing with another human. You should know what you want to do and the other guy will not guess what your strategy is.

This is all based on several frustration from playing with another person in Pikmin's 2 mission mode though.

Yes. I made a thread awhile back stating that I think Pikmin was delayed for just that purpose to be the game to really show why gamepad was a necessity. I saw the three protagonists and naturally assumed that this would be a big push with this game as its touch screen would be perfect for this type of play, even if you used wiimotes with the gamepad.

However, Nintendo failed to see that potential I guess. Can't wait to play the game this weekend though.

Local co-op made Pik2 for me. I didn't finish the story mode.

Getting this to play Bingo battle with my sis.

I think two-player-coop would be great. You would be able to achieve stuff much faster and it would be fun to sit beneath each other and talk about the strategy while playing. The only downside is, that the first two days you control only one captain, so the second player couldn't join, but after that it should be no problem.

To talk a bit more about the idea of local multiplayer for coop-mode. We often have games with competitive local multiplayer (mario kart for instance) and also Pikmin 3 has local competition with Bingo Battle. But local coop is unusual. Pikmin 3 was a big chance to have local coop that would have made sense. More sense than online coop, as you could speak with the other players about the strategy. It would extremely help to faster achieve more goals in the game and to be much better. But especially the boss-fights would be a lot cooler. One player could call the Pikmins to get them out of the area of danger while the other attacks. And this last boss-fight was horrible to coordinate all the Pikmin - it would have been much easier with a second player controlling another of your characters.

If they added coop, they could have kept them all together.

Dluigi had to go.
