Firstly the xbox 360 is only selling more in USA because of the cheap 4 gig version, being lapped up by many parents for their kids. If ps4 had an equivalent, shaved $50 off the price, believe me the ps3 would be selling like hotcakes.

Ps3 was significantly more expensive than xbox 360 at release, not to mention the 1 year head start it had. So if all things were equal and ps3 released alongside xbox 360, being priced evenly, the ps3 would be ahead by a few million. Globally ps3 would have been ahead by 15 million plus, easily. Ps4 will probably be the first to release, and at a price similar to xbox 720,so expect ps4 to sell more .,

Wow, the gap is double what wiki has, Ok Looks like xbox 360 will even beat the wii, wow xbox 360 king of consoles in North America.

I am not really suprised though Microsoft did a heck of a job this gen.

Some points:

- Pretty obvious the 360 won this gen in US and UK (only comparing HD twins), and you see it on Holiday periods, because on those months casuals buy consoles, and casuals don´t care about reasons to buy these machines, they just want what friends have, and in these 2 regions MS did a great job (no news here)

- Future wise these mean little (IMO), Sony will have to work harder, but it will still be a "who does a better job earlier" like this gen was.

I agree with the possibility of it pushing consoles in US, but you can´t blame nobody but Sony, they made this stupid ideotic excuse about US beeing a contry where digital is crucial so they need bigger HDD, but when I go online to see what is the 360 console sku that sells more, all I see is the 4gig one on top, it is like Sony likes to make retarded decisions in a country where they have to go against the Home team.

And when it comes to how many PS3s will be sold after the PS4 is released, predicting that the PS4 will be released at like 1st of November of this year, 20Ms PS3s sold after that is a laughable prediction, it will sell ALOT more (IMO).

Ive been waiting since two weeks after Sonys reveal. Microsoft is taking their time.

So much arguing in this thread XD You all have fun with that. This was already known.

But we're still waiting for Sony to do that. You can counter-argue by saying that the Xbox360 had one year more to establish its franchise, and that a percentaje among the 10% is people who bought another after a RROD. And yes, but still, the so "only does everything" hasn't beaten its competitors. It has regained its original fanbase, I'll give you that. These last years have been good for Sony.

I wasn't talking about XBLA. There are second party games coming this year to the Xbox360. E3 can also make that number bigger, but there are releases already confirmed. (Partially exclusive, as some of those games will be on PC as well).
