Why do people keep making these ridiculous comparisons?

You're using vgchartz figures for one franchise and other figures (which are shipped, btw) from another source for another franchise. This gen, using vgchartz figures (as it's the only way we can effectively compare sales), Forza has sold more than GT. Simples!

Oh. Were talking the entire generation? In that case, Gran Turismo is at ~15.1 Million (1 game, 1 demo, 1 spinoff) using VGChartz figures. When Brett finally gets around to putting the proper adjustments into place then thats gonna be closer to 16 Million! Pretty awesome.

I was only including home console games.

Also, calm down Carl. They're only games. None of this has any bearing on real life.



My prediction threads:

Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)

The game barely charted in the UK :( 

I didn't comment on the Wii-U European sales before, so I'll comment now: Terrible.

Less than the Vita is just awful, at this time of year it should be the top selling console in Europe with a decent launch. Nintendo need to advertise fast!

It seems Xbox 360 dominance, even in the lead up to Christmas seems to be ending. It has never been so close before. Just 20000 between the two!

In its 2 strongest regions it is dominating the competition.  The problem is they didn't price cut Europe hence the lower demand.  Either way its clear Microsoft are happy with their market share as its all about profitability for them.

I agree, as these sales currently don't matter too much anymore, as Microsoft have established there platform now and are safe in the gaming industry for a while yet. I mean Xbox went from being 5 billion in debt to huge levels of profit. it couldn't of gone any better for Microsoft
