Forums - PC - My love for PC gaming is growing everyday

Good for you man, there are plenty of great games coming to PC at the moment, I don't think there has ever been a better time to get into PC gaming.

If you ever get the itch to try out some classic games you might have missed be sure to check out gog.com : ) I just got Soul Reaver and once I got the 360 pad set up correctly I was having fun with it, tho I have put it aside while I finish my The Witcher 2 EE Dark Mode run lol

I don't think anyone is denying PCs are great for gaming. But price and many great games being exclusive to consoles make consoles more appealing for most.

My computer isn't capable of playing high end games, however it plays OnLive perfectly which I use regularly. I think services like OnLive can really help PC gaming grow if more publishers would support it.

I played Assassins Creed using OnLive and actually preferred the console version. I also played Dirt 2 and a few other titles and similarly, I found myself wanting to relax on a couch with a controller.

For FPS or MMO's though I think the PC is the best experience. I'm a bit addicted to LoL at the moment so I game on my laptop daily.

If you're into shooters, and want to check out a slick and beautiful free-to-play game that just came out (art style and weapons remind me of Halo) then check out "Tribes: Ascend." It's a beautiful game. And free!

I've been a console gamer all my life but after 2 years of great experiences I'm pretty sure a ATI 7850 and a new processor come first than a Wii U.

Finally! An ATI fan!

I have a PS3 and used to be a mainly console gamer, but ever since I got a decent PC for myself i`ve buying all multiplataforms games through Steam. PLaying Assassins creed revelations now and fiding playing it at the PC a much better experience.

Yup. My first PC game was Max Payne 1 followed by Unreal Tournament and then Tom Clancy Rainbow six. So I just stick with PC games and Nintendo console. Last month alone I finished Mass Effect 1,2,3 and Assassins Creed Revelation all on PC of course.

By this summer I plan to buy me a 50-55 LCD TV plus   for my gaming pc. My motherboard doesn't do SLI but I am ok with that for now. I use to have PS3. I did play Uncharted 1,2 and GOW but wasn't feelin it :( So I sold them. From time to time I play WOW. Been playing it for 5 years.

It's the PC-Console cycle. It happens every generations.

This is how it goes:

PC gaming is popular, but fades as new consoles are released with exciting new features and exclusive 1st party games. Then as the consoles start to age and exclusives start to slow down PC gaming starts getting more attention because it didn't age, in fact while nobody was watching PC gaming got better. PC goes back to being popular, the games looks and play great, but the popularity fades as new consoles are released with exciting new features and 1st party games. And so on and so on...

To be honest I'm more excited about getting my new computer next week than I was about getting a PSV :) It will be a Civ/tropico machine for a while but I'm sure I'll get some more games later on, steam sales will force me to buy more.

Maaaan nothing feels better than ordering the parts....smelling them, staring at them and then putting them together. Then watch your computer eat the games out for breakfast.

Yeah I love gaming on my PC. I get all multiplatform games on PC unless it's a fighting game. I really suggest sticking to consoles for fighting games.
