THe first one was bad....but it was one of those movies that are forgiveable because it's a "Summer Blockbuster." The second one took basically everything that was bad about the first one and multiplied it by 10. |
I agree with the above bolded sentence, 100%
I am a huge Transformers fan (generation 1) and I'm very critical of any missteps toward the franchise, but I actually really enjoyed the first movie. Don't get me wrong; it was far from perfect, but when you consider how bad it could have been and the fact that it was a Michael Bay movie, I thought it turned out very good considering it was the first attempt at making a live-action Transformers movie. There was a lot that needed to go (mainly much of the dialogue), but there were several parts that truly made me feel like a little kid again. The entire base attack at the beginning, the part where the Autobots all transform in front of Sam, the street battle at the end, etc. If they had just focused on all of the good things and trimmed off the crap (such as Prime's "Sorry, my bad" line), it could have been the start of a really great trilogy of movies.
Instead, like Axum said, they took what was bad, made it even worse, and made an entire movie out of it for the sequel. Truly pathetic, IMO, and so bad that I still haven't even seen the third one yet.
I can't believe no one has mentioned Mission Impossible 3! 1st was very good, second was good to, 3rd was terrible, and the 4th was back to being pretty good.

the second nightmare on elm street. The acting was terrible and freddy was only in about 13 minutes of the movie according to IMDB. I also hated the fact that freddy takes over that kids body. There was also hardly any dream sequences. I can understand, why Wes Craven did'nt want anything to do with the movie.
Jaws sequels
Jurassic Park sequels
Cars 2
Star Wars Ep. 1
Xmen 2
Spiderman 3
Pirates 3 and 4
