Damn it, is nobody guessing my #46 and #47? As I don't have time to write the articles about the games yet, I give another hint.

#46: Pathway to Glory (N-Gage)



This game gets overlooked quite a bit. Mainly because it was exclusive to a handheld/phone hybrid that seemingly no one other than me ever owned. But this game is one of my favourite strategy games ever. It just has this really good flow that keeps you playing for hours and hours and hours. It even got a sequel, but I didn't play that. It's a shame that it's almost impossible to play this game today, as I have yet to find an emulator for the N-Gage. Maybe I should get a new one from eBay or something. I had the original N-Gage and the QD, but both broke down years ago.

is it too late to participate in this ??

#47: Ys VIII. Haven't played that entry in the series so didn't realize until you wrote the character's name what you were talking about.

#46: I've had a feeling since your second hint on this one that I should know the game, but I just can't figure out it's name. Don't want to just use google either. I think I've read a review of that game recently, but the name still escapes me.

Yeah, Ys VIII is correct. I wondered I gave already names Gaete Sea and the ship Lombardia and still nobody guessed it. But if you didn't play this entry only the series it is understandable that only with the name Adol Christin it became clear.

With my #46 it is more complicated, it is kinda obscure, an indie which probably nobody except me has played, so it doesn't surprise me too much if nobody get's it. I don't know if there are still recent reviews, the game was released in Alpha in 2014 and had it's 1.0 version in 2016. But apparently it has active developers, the game had 13 updates this year alone and I see for the first time that it also have mods. Oh my.

The sign-up thread has still the 'sign ups are still on' in the title. But maybe mZuzek has only forgotten to change the title. Worth a try.

Portal 2
(Change YoY: -3)

Portal 2 to me is an example of a near perfect sequel. The first game was already excellent, with great mechanics, well written story and overall very clever level design. Portal 2 took those ideas and expanded upon them, giving the game more depth and variety. The puzzle design in particular is still some of the best I've ever seen in any game I've played. It's just a wonderful game in every way, and the surprisingly emotional story just pushes it to a near masterpiece level.  

#45 - It's a Shooter with a very good campaign and it's available on PS4. Predecessor of it had no campaign and was only available for Microsoft platforms.

#44 - Super Saiyan 3 forms of Vegeta and Broly + a plan to eradicate the Super Saiyans?!
