According to the 1 weekend a year boxing boxing expert.
Floyd fought solid opponents his entire career, as he aged he would sometimes pick boxers that were tailored for him, who hasn't.
Anyone that agrees with this article likely began watching boxing when pacman became a big deal, they have never followed Floyd since 1995.
Berto is a solid fighter, only 3 other boxers on the planet have been able to beat him, he has been defeated less times than pacman.
Yahoo writes pretty shit articles btw. i also read a few weeks back that this perspective would be the way the media tries to sell this fight as directed by Floyd and his marketing team, paint Berto as an unworthy opponent. Turns out to be true.

Castillo, Judah, Gatti, Hatton when he was undefeated, Marquez, Alvarez when he was the number 2 in that division.

If you're saying he shouldn't of fought De La Hoya, I don't know what to say, that's just silly.  Even Mosley earned his match by winning a title belt.

Lol, before calling people kids on the internet, learn to type.

Lastly, he has commercialized his career, but up to the point where he could do that, he had been through a lot of struggle and dedication to the sport. And whether you like it or not, it doesn't matter what the media or the people think about him, he has made more money than most sportsmen in the history of all sports. In that sense, he has worked harder and smarter than the people you know in real life. It's not undermining those people's personal achievements, it's just demonstrating his success. Bad or good image, you will never have what he has, and for a reason.

People on the internet need to make the difference between a joke/scam and someone who is talented but has a disagreeable personality.

Mayweather is a supreme athlete, only few can match his skills, tactics, physique. Hate him all you want but you need to push that aside when talking about Mayweather as an athlete. His merits in boxing are no joke.



I cannot imagine toilet-free life.
