Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Most Wanted Features on Next Nintendo Console

I will update this thread as people put their most wanted features for the next Nintendo console.  I will start off by listing a couple to get things started off

- Console/Handheld Hybrid with Docking Station
- Achievement/Trophy System

having acess to my library whenever i fell like in any hardware piece without calling costumer support, including saves.

Basically that, maybe a cross game voice chat.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

-Achievement Trophy and synergy with handheld... so basically what you said.
Also multi tasking needs to be a must have. The Vita did this first, then the X1 and PS4. No excuse to not be able to run multiple apps with their next console. Although this deal with memory if I'm not mistaken... Wonder what type of RAM and the amount Nintendo will put into it... Match the PS4/X1, little less, or more?

If I think of others which I know I have I'll update.

Based on a thread that was going on here a few years back you would think 99% of the people that don't like Nintendo consoles really want an ethernet port. The usb - ethernet accessory just isn't good enough.

-Hybrid OS, unified library.
-Backwards compatibility (with WiiU at least, and with Wii if they can).
-A good Virtual Console from the start.
-An option for a GCube controller that works with PC too.

Easy to program has to be a must.If they can make the thing with enough power to attract 3rd parties, good for them, but they shouldn't compromise their vision unless they are certain of their help.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I would like to buy Virtual Console titles once and play them on every future device (connected with NNID). The transition from Wii to WiiU with VC-titles was horrible in my opinion.

I want backwards compatibility. That's very important for me. I didn't bought PS3 back then, because they dropped BC before european release. I bought it only a year ago.

I want the continuation of MIiverse - this is great.

Trophy system!!!

A standard controller. 1tb hard drive. Cross party talk. Archive disc player. Full media player. Like games with gold subscription feature for 50 euro a year gets you 2 games a month that's from nes all the way up to GameCube.

old skool

-Trophies
-Traditional controller like Pro Controller as main, Gamepad still works on it as BC device for apps and such
-PS+ PS3 and Vita like subscription plan where you can pay an annual fee for discounts and full games throughout the year
-$300 max price point to start
-Keep form factor of WiiU I love that deeper and less wide setup as it makes the most sense for fitting as much as possible on my shelves

The option to load the game disc immediately if its in the system at start up. I would also like MiiVerse to continue and I would like multitasking apps and digital games (if its powerful enough). A voice chat app with friends that can be activated in the background would be super cool and maybe the ability to send an in game screen shot to their message/notification box app would be even better.

I also want a limited edition system that connects with the Wii U gamepad and allows future console games to be played off screen and apps that can be controlled by the touch screen.

Achievements/trophies done in the style like Smash Bros would be cool but isn't necessary for me.

Oh, and I want to buy a eShop game on a future handheld that can also be downloaded for free in the future console. The screen can have black borders if the resolution is that bad (or the handheld as a border like GameBoy VC titles on 3DS).
