Jay520 does make a good point.  There really wasnt any way to seriously talk about the topic.  There really isnt a chance of all stars selling more than ssbb. You should have made the thread a what if they launched at the same time kind of thread...

That being said, I dont really understand why people find the fact that all stars doesnt really have a chance at selling more than ssbb as flame bait.  There are good, concrete reasons why it wont sell as much and it doesnt really have anything to do with the quality of the games.  

The threads main failure was to stimulate discussion, imo.  

I had a read through that thread and found it quite funny. The revised graph was one of the best laughs I had in days.
It was obvious a lot of the users took offense with it, but they shouldn't have. I was all in good fun.

Here's another quote from the rules:

Well there's the problem.. you can't decide on your own that you are a long time member.. you have to go through the rituals we "long time members" all went through to become one..

Okay, let's look at this realistically.

You make a thread about whether or not PSASBR can outsell Smash Bros. Brawl. Now, everyone knows the answer is "No". They know this before even going into the thread.

Now, what possible discussion could have been had within that thread?


The answer? Nothing.

That is why it was closed.

Dude, the thread idea was all around silly. Sorry MBP there have been much better ideas from users such as yourself. That one thread wasn't one of the golden ones. I like light hearted humor as much as the other person but ones of better quality than the thread you posted. You need to be able to distinguish quality thread for the next time. We can't have a bunch of crappy threads flooding the forum. VGC needs more quality control in my opinion because joke threads should be very rare to keep thier charm which has not been happening

Honestly, I've never found yor threads funny. Although I don't think you do them just to flamebait. I just found them to be dumb...
