I think it all depends on who will first deal with R* about bundling the game with a console. Whoever can secure an exclusive bundle at launch will have a considerable egde.

They are only 500k apart and that was from a time when
a) the 360 had still a massive lead
b) the PS3 was expensive as hell and no one could have afford it
c) Microsoft had Exclusive Deals and had a marketing where people could think its a 360 exclusive

The PS3 version will outsell the 360 version and that with a bigger gap than 500k at the end.
Europe will push it over.

360 version was never bundled although I would have loved MS to have done it..

The ps3 version was bundled.. so if Sony does it again will most likely WILL outsell the 360 version.. 360 versions are available to download on marketplace.

Probably.

360 version will open higher.
PS3 version will have better legs.

GTA4 released with exclusive 360 advertising and "Exclusive" 360 DLC. At a time when the PS3 was at its worst. The PS3 version of GTA4 still managed to finish up within 500k of the 360 version despite this.

When GTA5 releases, the PS3 will have been the number one home console for 2 consecutive Years.

If there were no unforseen events, then yeah it probably would. However, i think MS will get some form of exclusivity on something (timed DLC perhaps), so it'll be a tough one to call



My prediction threads:

Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)

PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)

Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right

Halo 4 first 9 weeks sales prediction

PS4 to be down YOY in 2015

Yeah, the public really has moved towards PlayStation again. It can only benefit software sales.

Personally I'm getting it on 360 but I think it will do slightly better on PS3.

i predict 360 will open higher and it will be the biggest deal in the world but six months to a year later ps3 will overtake it and playstation fans will be ridiculed for their hollow victory.
