Id say the playstation 3, mainly because sony generally has some of the best ip in the industry in my opinion(I dont care about their sales), the xbox 360 does have some really good games when it comes to 1st and 2nd party like Banjo, Fable, Halo, and gears, but I generally like the variety seen in the playstation 3's lineup.

(yes I have had a 360 for a while, was never asked if I did "gamertag is evilman278")

PS3, not being a fan of Halo hurts the Xbox to a large degree, and having had PS1 and PS2 helps cultivate my love of Sony's studios

True, but thats for him to prove. Usually if you are going to even state your current collection(this gen), you'll put the games you currently have.
