Forums - PC - Sam Altman says it's "terrible" that people have RAM in their PCs

Person said something unpopular. Why is this a thread other than to stir outrage?

Given that gaming hardware is in a pricing crisis because of this guy and those like him, I thought it was relevant. By this point many of us have been forced to pay excessive prices due to the RAM shortage he's created, and it's important to know what ghouls like this think of us.

I would also contend that outrage is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it is justified and useful.

No thank you.

I like owning my own hardware, while having the control, privacy and freedom to do what I want with it.
I don't want to rent it all from some god forsaken cloud, where access is conditional on being enthralled to whatever the terms and conditions dictate during any given month.

Not sure why it matters what these people think of us. Won’t change the present situation other than make some people more mad. I agree that outrage can be used for good, but not in this instance. Nothing meaningful to come out of being angry at Sam Altman.

I hope his data centres are all raided and stripped of their key components, then Altman is exposed as something else horrible and arrested for it.

He's one of the biggest reasons why there needs to be an uprising against the rich.

It matters because knowing what those in positions of power think of us allows us to make informed decisions.

Wish we could do more to ruin him.

Those tech bros are more than deserving of blood eagle treatment.

It's no wonder shots were fired at Altman's house, and people are stealing truckloads of data center components.
