With all the rumours pointing to a next entry I will say the next uncharted game.

Witcher 4 and Persona 6.
If we instead talk about games that will never come out it's Warcraft 4 and Half-Life 3.
Try out my free game on Steam
They may eventually make another Beyond Good & Evil.
Though I didn't like the look of the last attempt (the 2017 trailer), kind of happy that wasn't it.

Well now my curiosity is piqued lol. What are some of those “how the heck is this even possible?” games you allude to? |
There are too many to name, but the poster child for that--in my experience--will always be OOT. I've tried articulating it for a younger crowd, but no matter how hard I try, it never comes close to what it felt like to play that game for the first time. Magical is kind of a cringe way of putting it, but that's as good as I got. When you go from what was out at the time to stepping into that world, that game? You weren't just experiencing a new car. You were experiencing a whole new vehicle. It was insane.
Confident to come out, 0%. But a Billion dollar budget VR game set in the Ghibli universe would be mine.
TotK style gameplay yet with world building based on Nausica, Porco Rosso, Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, Totoro, Ponyo, Boy and the Heron for the wilderness and rural environments, Spirited Away, Kiki's delivery service, Howl's moving Castle, Whisper of the Heart, From up on Poppy Hill, The Wind Rises for the cities and hidden places.
All cel-shaded in the Ghibli style of course with their magical lighting.

For the longest time it was both Mega Man 11 and then Mega Man 12. When Capcom brought back classic Mega Man with MM9 & MM10, I was super excited. But then after MM10 the years passed and no MM11. It took us eight years to finally get it, and I got that game on day one. Then the Blue Bomber went on another hiatus. I was thinking to myself, "MM11 was the best-selling game in the series. Surely it'll get a sequel." But the years kept passing. Then at the Game Awards last year I heard the orchestra start playing the Wily Castle music from MM2 and I was like three feet in front of the screen sitting on the floor in rapt attention like it was 1989 again, and was super hyped to see them finally announce what was for me the long-awaited twelfth Mega Man classic series game. Dual Override is currently my most anticipated game of next year, no joke.
Currently, my pick for an unannounced game that I've been waiting forever for and that we are pretty confident is coming is the next mainline 3D Mario game.

If they make a new 2D Rayman after Legends: Retold, that would be it.

Confident: New 3D Mario and 3D Zelda
Whether it's like Odyssey or Galaxy, either style would be fine for me for the new Mario game.
For Zelda, I want something on the level of BOTW/Tears but with quality dungeons this time, not lackluster temples again. I'm not referring to the little Shrines; those are fine for what they are, but the dungeons in all of the previous 3D Zeldas are infinitely better than what we've gotten in the last two entries. And I want new items to find that work on the bosses and unlock certain parts of the map. Those games are huge so having just certain parts of the map unexplorable until deeper into the game would be awesome.
Hopeful: Uncharted 5
I've liked every console entry of this series so far and it pains me to think that ND is not prioritizing its next entry. The thought of what that game could look and play like on the PS5 in performance mode would seriously make me consider getting the console, even at $650.
Dream Game: Bioshock remake
Since I have no confidence that Bioshock 4 will deliver, I would be happier to hear that the original was getting a ground-up remake. Sort of. Obviously, I want the graphics to be a massive upgrade (think a Project Helix/PC exclusive level jump) but the game structure, levels and especially the voices would have to be 100% carried over from the first. That game still has the best story, script and voice acting ever and I would not want a single thing changed from the original in that regard. The gunplay, however, should be massively overhauled as it felt a bit dated even when it launched. Things like some destructible environments and other modern advancements would also be welcome, but keep the original experience intact.

Speaking of dream games: Skylanders 7. It’ll never happen, I know the dream is far beyond the grave at this point, but maybe someday…
