I'd probably watch my wishlists on Steam, GOG and Nintendo store and see what games are coming with good discounts, and buy those.

None. That would be way over R$ 500,00 for me. Just so you guys know, the mininum wage here in Brazil is around R$ 1.621 per MONTH.

My main platform is Steam, and we have sales very often, so I would just wait.

Hideo Kojima's games are the only ones I know to have have the potential for this, because I'm a huge cheapskate and I generally love his games. Other than that, it would probably take another game on the level of Final Fantasy X. There have been fun and impressive games since, but they're all flawed or fail to connect with me as much. I suppose having more experience also makes it harder to wow me like that.

I can also come up with some vague ideas as to what might make be willing to pay that much for a game, but I'm not expecting anything else to realistically meet my criteria. There's just always something wrong, usually either implementation or monetization (if I'm paying that much for a game, it had better have the decency to not try to milk me even further).

I don't even buy games at the current 80 USD. If a game retails at 100 USD and drops to 60USD, I'm not even willing to buy it. Only exception is maybe a Naughty Dog title, and even then I'd wait for it to be at least 50USD.

But this is one of the main reasons I have PS+ Essential because I'm not paying for the exorbitant prices games are now.

I'm holding off on the Switch 2 because of the ridiculous price of games on it, especially Mario Kart World. £74.99 is bloody ridiculous for a new game. Games aren't worth more than £50 to £60 in my opinion.

Well if prices are of concern, I’d highly recommend taking advantage of the Summer Switch 2 bundle: $500USD for NS2 and a free copy of either Pokopia, DKBananza, or MKWorld. Additionally software prices have dropped ($50/60USD for Splatoon Raiders, $40USD for Rhythm Heaven, $60USD for Yoshi) and the used market it selling games like DK for as little as $40USD.

I think because I have so much to play as it is, I don't feel like I'm missing out. It's just weird feeling so indifferent to Switch 2 when I was so excited for the original Switch and got many good years out of it. Admittedly not played everything I wanted on there yet, never mind other consoles and PC too. 

Also hoping they do a smaller Switch 2 in the future. Also the games haven't got cheaper in the UK yet and with Nintendo, I never expect as much.

Automata 2, TLOU 3, Persona 6

After every immense experience I have had with each Xenoblade, any main title from Monolith Soft would be a safe purchase even if it cost $100, I would know that the experience would always be of the MaXeno quality.
