Zero for new games. I am transitioning to not buying every new release I want on launch. Wait for a sale. 

I have dropped that much and more on retro games but that is the market now. I hate it. I prefer it if every retro game was no more than 20 bucks.

Games shouldn't cost 70e, let alone 100e.
The fact that we even have topic like this where people ask if someone would pay 100e or that people are actually willing to pay 100e for a game is unbelievable to.

Same here I decided few months ago to stop buying new games.

I am tired of companies milking people for everything they have.

Best decision so far. I saved at least 500e since I usually spend around 1000e per year on games. 

This year so far I spent 20e.

Probably none, so far the only game I have bought that costed me over R$300 (around $60) was Ring Fit Adventure from a reseller which was R$422 (~$83), and I only did it because it wasn't officially released here in Brazil and I had to buy the physical version with the ring to actually play it. New ones were being sold for R$550 ($110) and I just couldn't accept it.

Every other game I have bought for my Switch was $50 and under.

This is a fun thought experiment, but I think the caveat that the game will drop in price after a year on the market sort of cuts it off at the knees. Modern video game enthusiasts are trained to be patient, and have so many alternatives at their disposal. A 12-month wait isn’t the end of the world. It’s almost a gift, considering the size of the average backlog :P

That's $138 AUD approximately which is equivalent to nearly 5 hours of salary for me or about what I make in a day's work; not insurmountable, but definitely a pain in the arse.

Problem is, gaming prices are also inflated here in Australia vs the exchange rate, like $70 USD is about $96.5 AUD, yet games that are $70 USD overseas often retail for $110 or even $120 AUD here.

It'd have to be something I absolutely couldn't miss, like a new flagship Mario/Zelda, a new Monster Hunter or Resident Evil, etc.

None. I support JRPG devs by buying their games day 1, but if they start asking for $100, they can hit the road.
