Not liking the game and saying the writting was bad are two completely different things.
The writting is great. The way the story is structured to limit knowledge of events and work on them on two separatedly POV is objectively great.
There is really nothing bad about it at all, liking it or not is personal, people can definitely disagree on that, but it is good.
I'm open to discuss any kind of supposed flaw the game story or the characters, in writting, because of course humans have flaws, anyone is interested on.
Nothing on TLoU2 ruins Ellie whatsoever. Abby is a great written character.
You or me agreeing or disagreeing with their choices are completely different things, and that goes back to the end of TLoU1 where people spent years debating if what Joel did was right or wrong, that is not the point, what the characters do is believable to who they are, that's the point of good writting.
Also, the acting on TLoU2, like on 1, is superb and adds a lot of realism to those characters.
