But we don't know what specific Zelda game the movie will be based on.

It probably won't be based on any one game, but will take elements from several sources as the writer and director see fit.

Yep this is likely it, kinda how the Mario movies aren’t based on any specific Mario game, even the Galaxy movie wasn’t based entirely on the Galaxy games.

Some Zelda games are, storywise, indistinguishable from each other. I said some, but it's not many.

@Chrkeller On the topic of Zelda mods: Have seen the progress made for Twilight Princess decomp? They’ve got the game running at a crisp 60FPS. Looks gorgeous!! I’m very excited to play it once everything is finished.

I have kept my eye on it, haven't tried it.  I want to do Twilight 60 fps with the 4k textures.  And bloodborne.  I did just try to Zelda NES remaster with LttP graphics.  Quite fun.

That's a thing?

The game just needs to be more challenging and you have the perfect LoZ game. Make the dungeons more combat focused rather than stupid puzzle solving focused. In the forest temple you literally have to put puzzle pieces together to kill a Poe. It’s fucking awful.

Yes.  All of those things are real.

Are you sure you enjoy Zelda? Lmao

I mean I'm all for improving the combat & modernising the puzzles, but puzzles should in no way be deprioritised. There are plenty of action rpgs out there (arguably too many) for people who just want to move from one battle to the next.

I was going to ask the same thing. If you want a heavily-combat focused Zelda without the puzzle elements, there are what? Three Hyrule warriors games now?

LoZ changes its overall structure, as well as approach to dungeons. While I don't agree fully with his opinion (since I like environmental puzzles), it is valid point to ask for Zelda, though not in OoT remake perhaps. There are fairly diverse Zelda fans, since there are fairly different Zelda design formulas.
