*sigh* Well this thread is off to a great start...I hope this isn't the level of discourse we can expect going forward. Anyway...

I was honestly starting to worry that this entry wouldn't live up to the first but what I'm hearing and seeing looks great so far. I especially like the mentions of improved storytelling (which I already thought was pretty good in the first game).

Also nice to see how well it performs. I think I'll try RT mode and change to 60 if it bothers me.

What exactly is the problem? We are voicing concerns and everyone has said they hope they are wrong. What fun would a thread be if the discussion was the way you wanted to hear it yourself. Toxic positivity ruins forums and most communities just as much as the inverse, perhaps even more so.

“Toxic positivity ruins forums” respectfully, this entire thread is doomposting about a game that reviewed well and hasnt even released yet. It’s not “toxic positivity” to suggest that this is an unhealthy perspective.

You are suggesting that people should be positive. I'm just saying that forcing people through shame to be positive is nonsense.

IDK what shame you’re talking about, I’m just saying to keep a level head.

Oh yes. There us clear signs of access journalism here, no doubt. Fingers still crossed buy I'm less hopeful. I suspect the dialogue will be eye rolling and the story lilled woke terms and themes.

God I hope I am wrong.

This post is so bad it deserves a medal.

If they were confident, they'd allow V Roll and like with Tsushima release full mission Demos. Perhaps they'll do that over the next week but in those reviews, both written and video, I have found patterns of red flags.

The biggest red flag though is not having the unpredictable Skilll Up or Luke Stevens and people like them have pre release codes.

There is something up with the game, something they know people won't like but let's see in a week, I'll meet ya back here when it comes time to change this into a discussion thread.

I'm curious what issues you think they are going to find with the game?

I think it's pretty bizarre you're trying to conspiracy the reviews here.

Do you do this for all games?

Some don't like playing as women..

I loved Resident Evil 1-CV, and half the time I was playing as a woman. I liked Heavenly Sword. I have no issues with Tomb Raider. But when it comes to this game, this is a complete switch. And honestly, given the company and who they got to voice the protagonist, it sort of smells a little bit forced... like it's a holder over from the woke-era. Could be wrong about that, but yeah. Really... really smells like it. And if that's the case, it could be a man, woman, gay, straight, trans, alien... I'm not going to buy it. I don't want identity politics in my games. Politics, okay. Not identity politics. I've been bludgeoned over the head for the last decade with that. I'm burned out.

Yeah, I'm with you man. I was hoping to see more Jin Sakai now that the franchise had been established. New adventures with perhaps a big city as a new environment and whatnot.

But they went with a complete makeover with a magical girl boss, hired an Antifa lunatic for the role and have shown that their team is home to some extreme leftist ghouls as well.

Nah, gonna sit this one out. Too much bullcrap in and around the game.

The Digital Foundry review sold me completely.

The world looks stunning, story is improved and has more drive than the first, side quests more interesting. Will be picking it up as my holiday game alongside Metroid Prime 4.

As far as the whole changing of protagonists etc, I think thats way more interesting to have the Ghost series allow to jump to compeletely different eras/locations and people and tell an original story with each entry. I hope we get one more but also keen for Sucker punch to start on a new franchise too. With this game hopefully they can earn the investment from Sony to become a multi-team studio, if that's in their interests.

Sadly i see this happening, verry high change this main char is lesbian just to force it down.

I mean in real life she is a lgbqti person and ofcourse she wants that to be put in the game.

Millions of real japanese female/beauty and they choose her.

They could have chosen for someone like kaho shibuya(yea yea i know her past stfu)

She is also verry well known in the cosplay/anime/gamers world and she would be perfect for the role.

Ban me all ya want,we will know the truth soon enough.
