Ramaswamy has a real chance of losing to Amy Acton in reliably red Ohio. The sad thing is, if he loses, it wouldn’t be for the reason he should lose, i.e. that he’s a billionaire grifter who is going to strip Ohio for parts if he wins. He’ll lose because MAGA has been ginning up anti-Asian racism against India and China in particular, in India’s case over H1B visas.

It’s also worth looking at the scale of what we consider a threat to our elections. Back in 2016, a major focus was placed on the 26 Russian nationals indicted for trying to influence the election, and there was broad agreement that we needed urgent action to protect our system from foreign interference. If 26 foreign nationals warrant national concern and policy shifts, then nearly 400 non-citizens actually casting ballots through a state system failure is a vulnerability we shouldn't dismiss just because the number seems small. Security should be consistent, whether the vulnerability comes from foreign hackers or domestic software glitches.

I don't know the details well enough to comment in further detail, but 26 individuals trying to affect the outcome can definitely sway way more than 400 voters if the know what they're doing.
