I would go even further: Have all American citizens of voting age already registers by default, as is the norm outside of the US, then add the ability of permanent US residents and incarcerated people to go vote too on top of that, the latter also being the norm while the former being widespread, though not always for national elections.

Australia not only automatically registers people, but it penalizes people for not voting. That's interesting.

Trump’s health czar Hegseth is requiring the nation’s military to have a certain testosterone level. Sounds great right? Our military needs soldiers that are mentally strong and ready to give it their all, one would think.

The problem with the testosterone replacement therapy and otc legal roids is that they are very difficult for the liver to process, making their use something that will wreck the soldiers health after 3-4 years of straight use. So, the army is definitely favoring new recruits instead of career soldiers with this move. That’s a real shame for the sergeants and officers that see the military as a career, only to be hit with the difficult choices this brings.


They also shrink your balls, which basically makes you want to take more. The military has always had pt as well as weight tests, they out to leave it at that. Also, there is gonna be a lot of potential for someone to see steroids as well as pills to keep breasts from forming. To clarify, the distinction centers on the difference between current law and a future proposal. Right now, these immigrants cannot legally vote, so they aren't 'stealing' elections. What I posted is a policy proposal for what could happen if a Democratic Socialist is elected. If that happens and the policy is legally implemented, those immigrants would be granted the legal right to vote. Participating under a new, lawful system is not 'stealing' an election, it is voting legally. Is that your position?

In gaming related news, a consortium of 12 state AGs, led by California AG Rob Bonta and including the states of Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Washington, have won a temporary injunction against the Skydance/WB merger until August 3.

I do expect that this temporary injunction will sadly be just that - temporary. The Trump administration doesn't just have their thumb on the scale; Trump has his fat ass on the scale. The best hope for defeating this merger is to make it too expensive and troublesome to the point where the Saudis back out - at which point, the Ellisons likely don't have the money to complete the merger all on their own. Very likely, that is what this state consortium is hoping to accomplish, is to discourage Prince Bonesaw. So unless the US government decided to engage in open communism in that scenario and put up the money out of the treasury, that would be the end of it.

Most likely, again, this is only a temporary stumbling block, and the merger will ultimately go through. But one can hope, I suppose.

Exactly, they cannot vote and thus are not stealing elections. Like Trump and Republicunts constantly claim is currently happening. What you posted is some weird policy claim on some website from people currently not in power and likely will never be in power. And even if they did get in power there’s not much likelihood that something like that would come to pass. 

Never mind the fact that just because someone has some type of campaign promise or agenda on a website, doesn’t make it reality. After all, Trump said he’d end the war in Ukraine on day one, lower inflation, bring back manufacturing, no new wars, etc.

No, I said how the situation is outside of the US, that permanent residents can vote in most countries local elections, but not always also in national elections. I didn't mean to say that this is how it's supposed to be in the US, I just wanted to widen the view for those who don't know about how other countries treat permanent residents in elections.

My main point was that citizens shouldn't need to register for voting in the first place and should be automatically eligible, and permanent residents could register without hassle if they wish to vote, too.
