Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), one of Trump’s most loyal defenders in Congress; died at 71 years of age.

Russia recently issued an arrest warrent for Lindsey Graham, and there are people wondering if Russia had something to do with it.  Hopefully, there will be an autopsy.

Some girl on Newsmax said she thought the IRGC did it.

It’s always a tragedy when someone dies, but it was a bigger tragedy that he didn’t go to jail considering all the harm he has done to americans. Terrible, terrible person.

Instead of toppling the Islamist regime, the Iran war put the Iranian regime back on the firmest footing it has been on since the revolutionary fervor of the 1980s.

The regime was already weakening from protests over the past ten years. It may very well have dissolved on its own without outside interference. Now that progress is being set back.

Did the US-Israeli War against Iran save the Islamic Republic? - The Christian Science Monitor

That war was (or might still be) the most incompetent one I've seen so far, and that includes the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Even I could have told that the war is a huge gamble, and if the gamble fails, it's going to get ugly one way or another. At least the Russian failure can be explained as a systemic failure, where the system was rigged to fail like that (by the great czar, of course - but still systemic), but the Iran war seems like such a personal failure.

It's definitely up there with the Great Emu War in terms of incompetence.

Is anybody still under the illusion that Marco Rubio is the voice of reason in the Trump administration instead of just another self-aggrandizing authoritarian?

Mike Johnson is demanding that Congress authorize $350bn in funding for the Pentagon.

“You heard the president talk about how he wants to effectively double the funding for national defense. Look, we live in dangerous times. We’re fighting communism on our own shores, and we’re fighting evil terrorists and tyrants around the world, and we have to be able to protect our national security,” Johnson said.

That whole thing about "fighting communism on our shores" in connection with Pentagon funding is rather unsavory.

shocking, Trump's big speech was a wet fart in the wind. Just a bunch of whiny gaslighting bullshit designed to enrage simpletons into thinking immigrants are all voting and stealing elections.

Old AF1 wasn't bad, especially for its time, but the new plane looks sooo good inside and out.

Except... for that friggin pop out flag over the cockpit. It's so tacky. What were they thinking? Was the painted flag on the tail fin not enough?

I think that the whole purpose would be to make room to meddle in the elections, and then claim that he warned USA beforehand.

Trump has always stuck in that stage of life we were in at 19-23 years old when we read things like Robert Greene’s Laws of Power or when he made that comment about grabbing her by the bussy.

He thinks that he’s playing 9d chess and is skillful enough to avoid having to apologize. But he’s looking more and more shady as time goes on.

And now for some good news.

The Tate brothers, Andrew and Tristan, were arrested in Miami on Saturday by the U.S. Marshals at the request of the U.K. Crown Prosecution Service, likely for extradition to face outstanding charges in the U.K. The U.K. Crown Prosecution Service has apparently filed 38 additional charges against the brothers related to four additional victims.

It's really too bad the gallows aren't an option here. The charges against the Tate brothers are quite ghastly.
