I'm not into their games all that much, but I don't know too many studios acting as consumer-friendly as CDPR. So I fully expect them to bring a free update sooner or later. Probably 2026, together with some rerelease for Switch 2 for all the folks who didn't get the game yet.

Witcher 3 runs at native 1080p, Ultra Quality, at some 30-35fps on equivalent SW2 level GPU. So indeed, straight PS4 port would probably be most cost efficient route.

CDPR, being CDPR, probably won't do just that (though I doubt they would handle the port themselves), they will probably leverage resolution to add some feature from Next Gen update, which indeed can be very taxing with all the RT thrown in.

Not sure if a patch will happen tbh at least not in the way the usual NSW2 editions are done as the Switch version is a complete redoing of the game in itself to run on the platform it'll likely be a case that they port one of the other versions over instead with enhanced features and just give those who have the Switch version a discount.

Only if there's a Switch 2 complete full physical release alongside the upgrade path because I don't own it, yet.

As long as it's after Bayonetta 3's patch, (it needs it much more), then they are more than welcome to release it whenever they feel like, makes no difference to me :)

Not doing something is rarely seen as negative. The idea is they just don't fuck up, if they put C2 or TW4 on Switch 2 and it runs like dog shit this is a fuck up, not putting it on there is no strain on PR.
