No, and not planning to preorder either. I've never seen any reason to preorder any console, and the Switch 2 is no different. I'd much rather wait until the price drops at some point further down the line.

Thats the thing, we seem to live in a new world were price drops does not happen and even price increases instead. But a Lite version might be cheaper at least

I wonder if a hypothetical Switch 2 Lite would be in a similar size to the original Switch 1.

Certainly possible, but that might just mean I never get the console at all. First party Nintendo titles on their own aren't enough to make me spend that much money on a console, especially when those games are also almost never on any kind of significant sale. And I also have no interest in a Lite version if it's like the one for the Switch, because I have spent literally zero time playing the console in handheld mode over the four and a half years we've had it.

Seventy-three percent say they will buy the Switch 2, yay!! ^^

Polls that aren't account locked are pointless. This poll has opened up to me now three times now. It would also encourage front page users to make an account if prompted with the sign in page and get some fresh blood in here.

Pre-ordered the day Pre-orders went live on the 3nd of April. Paid in full.

I will of course sell the console when the inevitable revision drops with better displays, longer battery life.

5th of April: 1st preorder the bundled console from an amazon.de invite.

8th of April: 2nd preorder the bundled console on amazon.fr as it was cheaper.

Last week, I finally decided to cancel both preorders, as I opted for the standalone SKU plus the MKW cartridge from amazon.fr; this setup is actually cheaper than the German bundle and, since the storage space is limited, the physical cartridge makes more sense. And given that digital multiplayer games like MKW can't be shared simultaneously with family members like we could on NS1, I think going with the cartridge was the right move. Plus, I'll get a firsthand experience of what playing with a cartridge that cost €90 feels like

Yeah I opted for the standalone system so I could get a physical copy of MK World, as the bundle is a digital code here.

Also grabbed a 1TB micro sd express card from EB Games; I managed to make a 256GB card last me the entire eight years of the Switch 1, I intend to make this last the Switch 2's full life as well.

Indeed, on my side the physical bundle is only €10 more than the digital bundle from amazon.fr, similar to the European price difference set for games.

As for storage, I am going to ride it out until later into the generation. Depending on how much space my digital NS1 library takes, I might even use a standard microSD card to store those. That way, they won't eat into the precious 200GB of free space we'll eventually need for NS2 titles.
