Thats what we are all wondering.

Probably a State Of Play early next year.....hopefully.

Might as well be that cuz they're seemingly allergic to the Playstation Showcase moniker instead

Switch Friend Code : 3905-6122-2909

February or March 2025 before the fiscal year ends. Sony isn't as reliant on first-party games as Nintendo, but they are still pretty essential.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 115 million (was 105 million) Xbox Series S/X: 48 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

The last one wasn't particularly good and was also mostly centered around third party games. It could also be that games simply take longer than four or five years now and these studios need around 6 to 7 for making a new game.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Most of PS studios use their own engine instead of one like UE5 so that means making games will take even longer.

Jim Ryan's live service push and the cancelletations that came afterwards also didn't help.

They already are, they are just following Jim Ryan's idea of spacing them out to two big titles a year, If Hulst has reversed from that decision then it'll be a while yet before we see things go back to the pace they were at prior to 2021. Ghost of Yotei is their focus until the next game which will probably be the second half of 2025. They have no reason to advertise their games early anymore cause of SoPs and I'd say even the ND reveal of Intergalactic THP was more so because people wouldn't STFU about them being a Remake studio and hurting their rep. I would reckon that we won't see Sony reveal their games until it's less than six months away.

We'll see one or two first party games at the next State of Play. And a few announcements whenever Geoff Keighley has a show.

Astro Bot, Physint, Ghost of Yotei, Lego Horizon and Intergalactic were all revealed this year without a showcase. The most likely candidate for the next reveal would be Bluepoint based on their last game.
