I was born as Mega Drive/Genesis was already replaced by Saturn and Sega was struggling.
Sega is probably the most beloved line of consoles that exited the industry (I don't see people going to bat for Atari much, as 2600 and 7800 were perhaps their only good platforms to most).
The same year Dreamcast was discontinued, Xbox arrived in Autumn.
Do you prefer Sega or Xbox platforms? Software can be a huge part of the discussion but not Sega software released after the Dreamcast.
