Every now and then, a game is made that does something so ambitious/impressive that it feels like it shouldn't be possible for the console it's on.
Which games felt this way for you, and what about them so impressed you?

The first God of War PSP game (Chains of Olympus) felt like a somewhat gimped handheld version of the IP. I couldn't believe the jump in quality of the second entry (Ghost of Sparta), though. It felt like every bit the GOW game that the PS2 games did and the whole time playing I was asking myself, "this is a PSP game?!"
Xenoblade chronicles X on the WiiU. Just seems like it shouldn't exist.
Games that come to my mind straight away (Playstation consoles):
• God of War 1-4
• Killzone 2 & 3
• TLoU 1 & 2
• Red Dead Redemption 2
• Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores
Tears Of The Kingdom
Just the scope of it and all the things you could interact with. And it still has short load times and runs pretty well.
Monster Hunter Rise on Switch. Capcom has some dark magic going.
Star Wars Rogue Leader on the Gamecube. Doing the Death Star trench run on the opening level felt like nothing I'd ever experienced the first time I played it. I can't remember playing anything so epic since.
Wipeout Pure on the PSP! The DS was only several months old, and I thought the games looked fine. They looked like advanced versions of N64 games, which didn’t really blow my mind.
But when I saw Wipeout Pure as a launch title for the PSP, damn near looking like a PS2 game at, for the most part, 60fps, THAT blew my mind. I had no idea how graphics like that were even possible on a handheld.
