At what point do you nuke this thread, lol. Never tell angry people to calm down they say and I'll head that advice but.... whoah. 👀

If we can't find any new political Mods then it's more likely the entire political forum gets nuked, Lol. I've been trying to find replacements for a while, and I'm worried about the team burning out, there's already too few Mods who are willing to drive themselves insane in the political section. I've asked like 10+ people and they all said no.

I'd usually be against it but I already feel bad about the idea of my break from the site and thinking about the other Mods burning themselves out, I'm definitely noticing the frustrations on everyone's part including my own, I don't think I've acted that professionally as a Mod recently (though I hardly ever warn/ban anymore) but if we're going to end up with a forum which is barely moderated because everyone has burnt themselves out then it's going to be a fucking toxic wasteland and the thought of me leaving a couple mods to deal with that makes me say "I don't care what happens to the political section after I'm gone" Lol.

Good question.  The one piece I do agree with, if it helps, is it isn't fair.  GOP has a much longer leash than liberals.  It is unfair, but my counter argument is life is unfair, better come up with better strategies.  Demonizing GOP voters doesn't work.

Exactly. The conservative vs. progressive political struggle has never been a symmetrical one, and condescension doesn't help in the least.

Bingo.

/I'll leave this thread, at least for a bit.  I've said my peace.  No reason to beat a dead horse.

You was wrong as pointed out by the UK Governments own fucking website, Lmao. And I know plenty of people in the UK with a driving license, including my own father, Lol. Who all disagreed with what you said, along with providing evidence from Reddit UK users, you did not provide any counter evidence of your own, all you said was that you was right because you have a driving license and took a test but I'll end this part here since it's off-topic.

I have and will happily admit when I'm wrong multiple times on this website, I don't think I've actually seen you admit to being wrong to anything. You're without a doubt one of the most ego driven members on this website who think you know better than everyone else and aren't afraid to show it. You love to rub it in peoples faces, even when you are wrong. Be honest, you think that you're better than everyone here.

LMFAO

Evidence from Reddit.  that pretty sums up everything on my end.  lol

"Lmao evidence from people living in the UK" - who did the exact thing you're saying can't be done.

*Ignore the evidence from UK's own official government website.

Oh and I also provided evidence from companies websites based in the UK.

But you said "I'm right. You're wrong. I took a test, I remember the questions perfectly"

The only way MAGA gets dropped is if Trumps second term is deemed a failure or if a 2028 candidate comes up with something way better.

If Trumps second term goes well (enough) then MAGA will remain. Vance, DeSantis, Ramaswamy, Gabbard, or even maybe RFK could and likely would continue MAGA, though each would obviously make some (small) adjustments/additions.

I expect all the republicans in the primary to run on MAGA, I just dont think any of them can unite the Trump coalition.  They may all still vote republican if the country doing well but Trump will still be there hero and weather it Desantis, Vance or someone else, they won't love and trust them like Trump.  They be another politician that the second things start going bad they turn on him.

I could be completely wrong but when I see the in fighting in the house of representative over who would be speaker etc that the sense I get.  No matter how tough DeSantis act people are not going to fear him or respect him like Trump for example.

The coalition would probably be a little easier to maintain with Vance, Ramaswamy, or Gabbard, if the Reps want to inject a touch of identity politics, but even DeSantis is doing amazing, in Florida. DeSantis also did quite well in the primaries behind Trump, so without Trump he would've almost certainly been the candidate.

You think there isn't any infighting with the Dems? The only difference is Pelosi makes better threats and forces them to coalesce, where the right doesn't do that as well. Which is ironic since it's the left who's supposed to be so diverse, where the right apparently all get's in line and does what they're told supposedly. Then there's the media, and the only big media that'll mention Dem infighting is Fox, so if you don't watch that, all you'll see is the rest of the MSM report about infighting from the Reps.

MAGA won't turn on Trump or the others that easy. Trump lost 2020 and said it was rigged, without hard proven evidence, and yet MAGA just backed him big again in 2024. The only way MAGA turns is if things fail miserably, or if the next candidate becomes spineless.

Can't criticise anyone ever again! Can't call out stupidity or disgusting stances!

Well, I don't care if Trump or his movements loses voters forever (well, at least the foreseeable future) because of insults. I do care a more if the other side loses voters forever (you know).

I'll say again, you're too online, the average voter doesn't give a fuck or even know about insults being thrown around on the internet, the election was lost on inflation, not mean words, I can call Trump voters all I like and Democrats could still win by proposing radical changes that benefit people. You think voters are going to give more weight to mean words than being able to afford a house? afford groceries? Lol.

Stop tone policing me and everyone else, I can't even criticise a specific group of voters now with a specific set of disgusting and stupid stances? Lmao. Doesn't matter how abhorrent the stance is, how stupid it is, if they're a Trump voter, we can't criticise them. Also, have anything to say about Chrkeller spending half his time in the thread talking shit about Liberals and criticising Democrat voters? Or is it that it's fine to criticise Democrat voters but not a single MAGA voter?

Rules and laws change.  Someone who took the test 20+ years ago, who cares?  Reddit?  I mean really?  I can find Reddit threads "proving" the election was stolen.  I took the test in the last few years, got a 49/50, I know what question I got wrong.

And I do remember the questions, sorry you are wrong and too childish to admit it.  that is a personal fault, not my concern.  :)

Who do you HONESTLY think has the most accurate position?

a) someone who took the test 20 years ago?

b) Reddit threads?

c) someone who hasn't even taken the test?

d) someone who recently took the test and aced it?

Can you be honest in your response?

Damn. Perhaps consolidate everything into one majour thread and see how it goes before nuking the lot. Problem is with taking the whole lot down is politics out bursts will happen in gaming threads more often and probably cuase more stress on the mods.

Damn. This sucks. Maybe launch a campaign to get more mods in before you transition to leave, there's enough of hardcore posters on here who'd been around for over a decade 🤔 and you and Auximblade are really the only two power user mods. Perhaps the writers would be willing to assume some moderation duty?

Someone who took the test and misinterpreted the answer is what I think is the most likely scenario which happened here.

You've plucked 20 years out of your ass, you don't even know when these people passed their test or did what you said wasn't possible.

So the evidence I provided was...

1. UK drivers themselves who have also passed the test, some of which also did the thing which you claimed wasn't possible. If this was 1 UK driver then you could argue "well it's my word against his" but it was multiple UK drivers which puts you at a numbers disadvantage.

2. UK citizens I asked, including my own father.

3. UK based websites.

4. The British Government.

Your only rebuttal was to not actually provide any hard evidence but to say "You're wrong because you've not taken the test and I'm right because I'm taken the test" and that was when I (actually quite respectfully, pointed out the source of the UK Government countering what you was claiming) which you then threw a tantrum and got defensive, only after you disregarded the damn British Government did I then start getting sources from other UK Drivers, Reddit Threads, UK Companies, etc.

Btw, do I sense a hint of age-related insults to add to your condescension? First calling me immature and now childish, Lol. I feel we're two steps away from you saying "I'm 40 and you're 28 shut up you don't know anything about the world" But this is off-topic. If you can find the thread then maybe we can go through it all again in PM or some shit

I'm not wrong.  Don't know what to tell you.  Tell me, did your dad take the test more recently than 20 years?  Yeah, didn't think so.

Not sure why I'm even wasting the time.  I'm 100% sure I'm a right.  Just like I was throughout this entire thread.
