Forums - Gaming Discussion - List of Games You've Beaten 2024

I've been playing pokemon Scarlet since January and I still haven't finished it. Life got in the way of my gaming I guess ( having 2 baby's*, getting my blue belt in bjj, work related stuff). I'm hoping to finish it before July.

*I was not the one giving birth thankfully, it looked really painfull.

Don't push yourself. The real life is always more important than gaming. Congrats on the two babies, btw. Side note: Pokemon Scarlet took me quite a while too, but it was a fun ride nevertheless. I liked it a lot.

Congrats! I'm going to become a father soon as well.

There's nothing wrong with becoming busy with outside of gaming.

It took me exactly a year to beat Pokemon Sword and its expansion but still worth it because I enjoyed it and that is what matters the most, as long as you are enjoying the game.

Tinykin. Cyberpunk 2077. ME Series (Plats), Like a Dragon. Tiny Tina's. Immortals of Avemenrisybndede.

So far Immortals and in between a few games of Apex and Helldivers, few Slay the Spire here and there. I decided to give Outer Worlds  another go. Booted up my PS4 and found my copy, this was main due to Fallout 4's up coming next gen update, wanted to try Outer Worlds again as a taster.

Picked Hard, and... well it wasn't hard but that's besides the point. I had a fun time but don't really feel like I had a different experience than I did last time I played. Maybe as it has been so long since the first time I played (when it came out) that I'd forgotten what I did then and might have just ended up wit the same build but by like level 15 I'd maxed out some stats anyway and was moving on to others. Outside of playing on survival mode (which I tried years ago and gave up as Parvati died in the first time I got into) or picking Intelligence 1, not sure what else much I can do different. Still fun regardless.

Now just waiting for the Fallout 4 update, see how that differs.

Hmm, pie.

Just Finished: Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (PS5)

The force was not strong with this one. I am generally a fan of most Lego games that tie in with a popular IP. Lego Star Wars started it all. I loved the original and played it over and over on the PS2 when I was younger. I played other Lego games like Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and even reviewed Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars for this site very highly. However, for many reasons I did not enjoy this game as much as I hoped I would. Featuring levels spanning all 9 mainline movies provides ample opportunity to relive the series' most exciting moments. However the level design sucks. It's boring and confusing. There is some attempt at having an overworld system but that just makes it difficult to determine when a proper level starts or ends. The UI is horrible. There are so many long and complicated menus. I never learned how to buy unlockable characters and eventually gave up. I know the game is aimed at kids but the puzzles were too simple and repetitive. There were a lot of missed opportunities to make cool gameplay segments out of cool movie moments like the land speeder section from the end of The Last Jedi. I know the Lego games added voice acting a while ago, but I prefered the humor of the games when the characters didn't talk. The jokes were cheesy and cringe. I played for 15 hours (shorter than the time it would take to watch all 9 films) and was glad to be finally done.

Score: 6/10

Full Completed 2024 List:

  • Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered (PS5)
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (3DS)
