Curiously, it turns out Elden Ring on Switch 2 does not use DLSS at all.
Settings wise it seems like a port of the PS4 version, but it does run at a higher resolution and framerate than PS4 did.

@curl-6
Elden Ring is not using DLSS even on PC (unless you inject it yourself), so I guess it would be quite surprising if it used it in Switch 2 port (after all, it's From we're talking about here).

Ah, that is curious, I wonder why not, is there some aspect of the game's makeup that's not compatible with DLSS in some way, or is it just Fromsoft being weird?

Mostly the latter. FromSoftware just hasn't added native support to their proprietary engine, but it shouldn't be hard to do at all given that they have a proprietary TAA and the modders added DLSS support through a driver level hack.
I think the actual benefit of DLSS would be pretty minimal though for this game on SW2. SW2 is probably CPU-bound, and any image quality gain would probably be minimal. The image quality is great from what I have played (in handheld mode mostly.) Though maybe they could squeeze out a 40fps mode if they dropped the resolution enough. Of course, not locked just like their 30fps target isn't.

What @sc94597 said - I'll add that DLSS is not always the best solution. Not sure what the situation is currently, but back when Indiana launched, I've played it on PC and decided to use their TAA instead of DLSS, since latter was doing some really weird stuff with some of the lighting (producing checkerboard pattern).
So uh Onimusha looks pretty freaking incredible on this system

Yeah I'm playing it now and it holds up really well.
Probably not as system-pushing as something like Requiem, Star Wars Outlaws, Indiana Jones, etc but still an excellent example of a current gen game brought to Switch 2 in good condition.
OoT remake looks gorgeous. Still wondering why Nintendo is avoiding DLSS though.

They similarly avoided using anti-aliasing on almost all their Switch 1 games, despite the hardware being fully capable of it, they're just weird like that sometimes.
At any rate, Ocarina and Starfox look like the first Nintendo games developed as actual Switch 2 titles rather than enhanced Switch 1 games.

Man, the differences are so minimal, it's like ooh look slightly better lighting and shadows and water haha. I was looking so hard for any diff between S2 and PS5 graphics to see anything that would actually change the experience at all and nope couldn't find it. S2 really closed that handheld-console gap compared to last gen.

Yeah OoT blows away everything else on S2 to an absurd degree. Stuff like MKW, DKB, Star Fox are next gen sure in that they couldn't be done on Switch, but their graphics are absolutely put to shame by OoT. Definitely the first next gen Nintendo game to really show off what the system can do.
