Looks great, Nintendo had a great showing.

But I'm confused, this is neither action based or has a different story. I thought that is what 'Remake' meant?

lol

Is that a FF7 remake slight? haha

Not necessarily. I doubt this remake is using the original games source code and had to be built from scratch. Remasters are usually touch ups in resolution, framerate, and controls. Remakes overhaul everything, even if that remake is a 1:1 remake.

Link's Awakening on Switch is for the most part a 1:1 remake except for the change for the dungeon creation.

There does seem to be some differences, but nothing like FFVII Remake or Resident Evil 2&3 remakes.

That's a huge leap in graphics. ^^

We're not living in the blue void anymore 😂

Anyway, I never got to touch the original Mario RPG but it makes sense that since SE finally got to buddy up with Nintendo more as of late, that they'd actually greenlit such a project.

Of course, I'm getting it. This will get myself primed for the 2E Mario platformer coming right after !

Also Geno fans ... Rejoice I guess lol

Yass!!
Nintendo is not letting Switch die until late 2025-2026 atleast!

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Spoiler!
Isnt a remake but takes place in a alternate timeline so its kind of a sequel/reboot.

Also Star Ocean Second Departure R, Secret of Mana/Trials of Mana, the SaGa remakes, etc were all like this.

Anyways, they dont mention it but I wonder if SE is still involved with this game.

Super excited for this.

This is one of my most played games - probably played it at least a dozen times, 10 times at least absolutely.

The last time I did a playthrough was like 2 years ago or so.

Tempted to get this day 1 but I dont know, I'll likely wait like I usually do these days.
