My guess is that many of those who still vote republican don't vote FOR the GOP but rather AGAINST the Dems.

The good news is that gaining 5 seats for a 52 seat majority is a real possibility with the Dems leading the Senate races in Alaska, Michigan, Ohio, Maine and Texas, 3 places they really shouldn’t be winning in (Texas hasn’t elected a Democrat in 30 years), which should tell you how terrible Trump has been as President. Even Iowa is in play for Turek.

The incompetence would be funnier if their base actually cared. 

man im so disillusioned with the current political climate i completely forgot there was an election coming up. Oof! Yeah I'm thinking it'll be a big blue wave judging off the poll numbers, not much of a mystery how everything will settle out. IDK I just really don't care. It won't make any difference whether congress becomes blue, red, or purple. Whatever the ultrapowerful want, that's what we'll get.

I still encourage you to do what you can. Don't worry about it, but see if there's anything little you can do. If you think you have someone you could vote for, do so. If you feel like you can have a political discussion in good faith with someone, it might be worthwhile to do so - you could both end up learning something too, even if you're unable to convince the other party to change their mind. All the little things, even they might add up in the end, and you'll probably learn more about yourself along the way. And there could be situations where your vote does make a difference - not necessarily alone, but there's probably still some opportunities. Or maybe you won't achieve much, but if it's not much effort and you don't make decisions you end up regretting, it's probably still worth it.

Here's maybe a good news for you: Since the ascent of Mamdani the DSA has had a steep rise in memberships and has broken all historical records of leftist parties in the US, and the number of office-holders with DSA membership is also expected to rise quite a bit during these midterms, meaning the older Democrats can't ignore them anymore and need to work with them to create policies - meaning the power and especially the influence of corporations in the US Government will be waning, at least somewhat.

I'm so fucking tired of 2016.

I will say that, thanks to Katie Hobbs, Kris Mayes, and Adrian Fontes, that Arizona has become a good place to ride out this shit storm. They’ve kept Arizona relatively safe and sane in the age of MAGA. So I will be voting to continue this.

And all these voters are somehow oblivious to Trump’s criminal activity including credible allegations of child rape, the destabilizing policy actions of the Republicans (including economic warfare and threats of invasion against allies), and blatant corruption of leadership figures?
