Really? How did I miss that? How's the game?

Great at combat and map design. The game brings a good and fair challenge and the graphics and animations are such a step ahead of the very ugly Three Houses
Unfortunately, it's average to bad at everything else. I will not talk about the artistic side of the game which is so weird that speak for itself and instead will focus on very questionable design choices:
1) The game is poorly balanced in the sense the only way to progress upgrading your characters is using rings and there are something that happens in the middle of the game that kinda mess up with it. Let's say they gave you tons of possibilities and let you crave a path for a good build, just to completely destroy your builds after some point. If you like character customization like me is a very frustrating experience
2) Farming resources is a chore and the skirmishes are much harder than the actual game. They are not only difficult, they are CHEAP. They will start with 12 fully upgraded flying enemies with killer/silver weapons at 4 squares from your party ready to attack from all directions, making it pretty much impossible to you train your weak units.
3) The bonding ring creation (your only way to get SP) is an annoying gacha system that make you spend all of your resources to inherit good skills materials and you are not even guaranteed to get them.
4) SP skills cost so many to inherit that is virtually impossible to buy some of them in a single playtrough. I have 80 hours and tons of grinding in my first save and the best I could accumulate was 4600. Some skills costs 8000 and surprise surprise there is not even a NG+ for you to try unlock everything in a second playtrough
5) Farming supports is restricted to player phase during combat and not even the boring mini games in Sonmiel will help you with them. In 80 hour I only unlocked C support between Alear and two characters (Alfred who joined on chapter three and I deployed on EVERY map, and Seadall because he spent to much turns dancing to Alear that I could unlock the C support )
6) The game has some traps, like donations that don't give you any meaningful reward and will make you lose most of your gold. One of the worst traps in the game is level up your main character. Yes, you don't read it wrong, upgrading Alear is something you don't want to do. Skirmishes will scale with Alear level, meaning if he is too strong you cannot use them to level up your weakest party members period. The game seems to be designed with the premise you will only use your more recent units unless you want to spend a scandalous amount of time grinding (which I did). At least a third of characters have growths that do not match with their starting classes for some unknown reasons, so in the end you have a game that is very restrictive if are playing on maddening and need everything to be close to optimal to survive the challenge
So it's a game that kinda give you a very flexible way to do the things... except they don't actually encourage you to do any of this. Do you want to change Anna to a magic class to make use of her incredible magic growths? Be prepared to spend an obnoxious amount of time looking for training skirmishes that will not anihlate your weakest units in 2 turns
